Capítulo 8: Meanwhile

Eve just finished her daily mecha manuveur exercises. She had yet to complete Sirobos personalized body, but over the past years they had successfully made it so she could control a few of the mecha like a body. Not the ideal choice, but hey, progress was progress.

That's what Eve kept telling herself anyway.

Currently everything was going well, except for the fact that they were almost out of energy cores and fuel for the mecha. T_T

" Do you think that war was won?" Eve asked Sirobo as she started to bend metals and weld them into shapes and sizes according to Sirobo's instructions.

Sirobo remained quit for a minute before answering her.

"I think it would be best to stay down here longer..."

Sirobo had many reasons she didnt want Eve to leave this place.

The first and foremost reason was that she was scared. Scared that whatever she would find out there would not be a happy discovery.

The second reason was that she didnt want anyone to find out about Eves peculiaritys. Sirobo could tell Eve wasnt entirely like how her bio had described her.

Highly skilled, yeah, sure you could describe her that way. But the human part of her bio could not be any more wrong. The sky is always blue on earth, but what about other planets? The simple answer is not always.

Eve didnt show any signs of aging, even after waking up, she didnt require consumption of nutrients to sustain herself anylonger either.

Sometimes Eve would sleep, but it didnt seem like a requirement from her careful and meticulous observations.

The amount of strength displayed by her was far to great to be human, or even slightly above the human limits like some genius's or genetically modified humans could achieve.

Eve had a tendency to place her palm on machines and seemed to pysdoe link with them. If she practiced hard enough she could probably control machines she wasnt touching in the distant future.

Sirobo knew this latest master of hers could go far.

Sirobos last reason, and perhaps her most selfish reason was dependancy. She wanted Eve to keep depending on her. She was afterall not the newest and up to date AI by now. Would Eve abandon her for a newer and more useful model in the future once she left this place? Sirobo didnt think that was the current Eve's style of doing things, but Eve could be quite selfish so she didn't even want to take a chance on this matter.

Afterall, she was selfish as well. She wanted to continue to exsist, no program or AI wanted to be scrapped.

Eve had just finished up completely repairing her 64th mecha unit. Feeling quite proud of herself she puffed out her cheeks and slapped her chest a few times.

"Ah, another job well done. Praise me Sirobo!" She coo'd.

"Master your doing very well! Good job!" Sirobo proceeded to boot lic- praise Eve for her great accomplishments, showering her like an Amazonian summer rainstorm does to the rainforests below its skies.

Just as Sirobo was finishing up her tirade of praises the ceiling of the underground cavern began to shake slightly, causing little bits, and bigger bits, of rock to fall down from the ceiling.

One such big bit of rock fell right onto the newly refurbished mecha Eve had just painstakingly finished.

*Ka chunk! Clunk!*

Eves face twisted into a very ugly state.

The rock had caused a huge dent in the mechas newly shined head.

Little veins began to pop out on Eves forehead.

" Sirobo!" Eve shouted out in a hissy fit of anger.

"Yes Master!" Sirobo chimed back in response to Eve.

"Enter the spacecraft with the functioning scanner, scan and see what's out there that would dare mess of my prestigious piece of work!" Commanded Eve in a authoritative tone that she seldom used since her current personality was that of an arrogant goofball even though she remembered her name. Eves original personality most likely wouldnt come back without emotional stimulus.

Sirobo knew that Eve was mad now.

Sirobo quickly sent a signal of her conciousness into a small shuttle spacecraft that lay about 200 meters from where Eve currently stood with her hand on her forehead.

Eve was suffering from a imaginary headache at the moment due to the stress of the earth shakes going on around them currently. As Sirobo diligently worked to get readings, and within a few minutes she reported back "Master! It seems there are multiple non warp capable engines emitting radiation emissions not even roughly 400 feet above us."

"Should we blast a hole in the roof and then kill them?" Eve asked with a sincere look in her eyes, despite her somewhat current muddled looking facial expression.

Sirobo didnt know if she should answer this master of hers or not...

"I'm going up to take a look!" Eve declared as she quickly turned on her heel in a speed so fast it was surely not human, and bolted towards the comparitvly smaller than other Mecha, the mecha Gumreaper.

After booting up the systems up the lithe mech Eve enabled the body sync functions and pushed the throttle for the thrusters all the way.

Sirobo knew she couldn't let that incom- bumbling master of hers go up there alone, so she uploaded one of the branch versions of herself into a nearby refurbished and refueled black chrome mecha with large detachable shoulder cannons, a small standard United China plasma rifle, accompanied by two small emergency handheld chromeplated half grade Tytisium military knives.

"Boom!" The abrupt takeoff of Gumreaper wasnt any better than the earth shakes from earlier.

Hastening her takeoff process aswell, Sirobo noticed the giant hole that Eve had somehow found the time to make in the ceiling.

It looked, abit charred from plasma residue...

More resources they wouldnt get back it seems...

Sirobo hurriedly took off and exited through the hole in the ceiling as well.
