Maya sighs giving him the Bow back "I cannot do this...".

She is in the stage of her life in which she is already used to being a mere commoner. She is scared of her sudden freedom of learning as she is not accustomed to it for now.

She feels like a prisoner who had lived her entire life in prison and suddenly thrown out of the prison.

Just like how a fish struggles when it has been thrown on the land! This whole new world is not a very comfortable circumstance for her. At least not for now.
