Capítulo 45: 39.Rabid Ratios Part-1
When Mark opened his eyes,he was blinded by the bright light.The air had a fish-like smell.There was a constant noise of fishermen bickering amongst each other.He was on a port yet again but this time,it was somewhere different.Everything somehow had a familiar sense to it.He hovered over to check the name of the port.He limped to a nearby board and read the rusty sign: "MUMBAI PORT".
"What the hell am I doing in here? Besides,why does everything seem so familiar?"He pondered.
Before he could ask anything else,He was forcefully thrown into a van and taken somewhere.The path was quite uneven and unpredictable.Every now and then,a drunkard or two dashed infront of the car,halting irregularly.
Suddenly,Mark's eyes focused on something.It was a House,with a front yard.Kids of all ages played games,scampering up and about.A vision flashed in Mark's thoughts.He saw a young boy,running behind a stray dog and returning back to him,only to hand him a book dripping with dog's saliva in that same place.
"Is something wrong with my brain?"Mark questioned himself.
The van suddenly halted and everyone was forced out of it.Mark stood near an alley,which seemed like a forbidden zone.There was loud music blaring in everyone's ears.There were cheap LED string lights coverings the entirety of some buildings.Women would stand outside the foyer,making obscene gestures at people.The air had a smell of alcohol and smoke.Mark realised that he was being taken to a brothel.
"Why am I being taken here?"He thought to himself.He nudged one of the accomplice but they resented.
"Don't try to act smart!"They said,as they gripped him harder.
Mark was pushed into one of the houses,only to be greeted by some women who did not seem normal.He saw a man amongst them,who seemed like he would die any moment.However,when he saw Mark,he illuminated hope.Mark felt something on his cheeks.He found out it was tears.
"Why am I crying?"Mark mused.
A lady suddenly appeared out of one of the rooms.She was covered in heavy jewelry and equally heavy make up.The man rushed towards the lady.
"We found him!"He yelled with tears in his eyes.The lady hovered his eyes at Mark,who seemed confused.The lady headed towards him.
