Capítulo 34: He wants to repay with his body? Part2

When Su Lin's flight landed safely in Hangzhou city's airport, she patted her chest and breathed a sigh of relief.

She was finally back home, far far away from all the dangerous gangsters, and felt at ease.

As the thought crossed her mind, she couldn't help but think about that devilishly handsome face she held in her hands just a few hours ago.

She wondered if he survived that calamity...

Su Lin walked out of the airport and leisurely hailed a cab. She hadn't been in touch with Grandpa Su or the rest of her supposed family members for the last 3 months.

She wondered how they would react if she walked back in now without any explanation. Just the thought of them made her head feel heavy and she massaged her temples.

It was a short drive from the airport to the Su family villa and Su Lin reached there in no time.

As soon as she entered the gates, an old man rushed towards her with anxiety written all over his wrinkly face.

Grandpa Su hurriedly opened the car door and dragged Su Lin inside.

"What happened, child?!! It's been 3 months now!! And I didn't receive a single call from you! You know how to make an old man worry, child!"

"Sorry, Grandpa." Su Lin's face was already back to its cute innocent state as she meekly replied.

"Just one phone call child? You know you can do better. I was almost ready to go over there myself and look for you personally, but your husband only asked me not to worry."

"He convinced me that you needed space to work through your issues."

Su Lin rolled her eyes. Of course, he did! What a caring and considerate jackass?!

Seeing that Su Lin remained silent, Grandpa Su further probed, "How are you feeling now, child? Are you doing better?"

Su Lin swallowed her contempt for her ex-husband and patiently answered the old man.

"Sorry, grandpa. Meng knows me really well, ah. I was indeed trying to work out some complicated thoughts. I apologize for the worry I have caused you."

"It's ok. It's ok. As long as you are fine." Grandpa Su smiled and patted Su Lin.

"One second, child. Wait here." The old man hurriedly went inside the mansion and returned after a couple of minutes.

"Here, take this child. I prepared this for you after the first month you disappeared." He chuckled and handed over a set of keys to Su Lin.

Su Lin was confused. "What are these grandpa?" She asked.

"These are one of our guest house keys. It is located in a good neighborhood within the city's premises. You are welcome to stay here and work hard on your goals." He winked.

"And, the next time you want to be alone and figure things out, you don't have to go all the way to the Himalayas."

The old man chuckled and shoved the keys in Su Lin's hands before she could refuse.

Su Lin was genuinely touched by his kindness. Even if she was his late best friend's granddaughter-in-law, he really didn't have to go this far.

After chatting with Grandpa Su for some time, Su Lin grabbed her luggage and moved her belongings to the private guest house.

The old man had conveniently downplayed it, but the guest house was more like a condominium with three humungous bedrooms and a small garden.

It was located within the emerald community complex, one of the lavish condominium complexes within the city limits.

Su Lin absolutely loved the place at first sight and leisurely settled her things in the master bedroom.

The condo was already furnished and she found everything she needed at arms length. Even the fridge was fully stocked.

Grandpa Su had gone all out again to make sure that she was well settled.

Su Lin always had the habit of repaying both kindness and hatred a hundred times over.

She might be acting in front of Grandpa Su, playing the damsel in distress, but she silently resolved to genuinely help him out when she gets a chance.

Now that she was aware of the presence of spiritual energy on Earth, Su Lin planned to scour every inch of the planet to suck all the spiritual energy she could find.

For that she needed money, power and influence. Grandpa Su might be supporting her for now, but Su Lin was not a fool to think that the old man would forever be on her side.

Once she makes it clear that she wants nothing to do with Shi Meng and his mother, Grandpa Su would also most probably disown her.

So she essentially had time until then to forge her own path and build a stable source of money and power.

And Su Lin exactly knew how to go about doing this!!
