A slim man with narrow shoulders, naturally curly short hair, and in a ruffled tuxedo shirt stood with his arms and hands in an awkward angle. The way he shifts his eyes back and forth and twists his shoulders make him look like a dancing flamingo in the wild.
"Yeah Uncle Simon it's me, Baxtor!" Baxtor waved his hand in the air.
"Mhmm~! Looks like you are bit battered up from adventuring! Is that your new friend over there?" Simon asked.
"Yep! His name is Azel, and he's a good brother of mine I met in my last quest outside! He's been in a state of serious mana deprivation, and needs to lie down immediately!" Baxtor said as he kept on moving to the second floor of the clothing shop.
"Mmmm....rest up both of you! I need to get back to tailoring some of these dresses for the shop!" Simon replied quickly as he went back to work.
As soon as they reached one of the bedrooms upstairs, Baxtor slowly set Axel down into one of the bedrooms at the end of the hallway, and also found a bedroom next door to take a long nap.
...
Axel felt very strange upon lying down on the bed. He instantly entered the dream world, as if he had entered a virtual reality game, and felt that he was awake inside of that game world. However, when he looked around his body, he felt an unknown surge of power burst from within. He was wearing his old Saint Guardian's Full Armor Set and had the Soluna Blade in hand. He sighed ever so loudly. If he had even equipment and weapons one tenth the quality of his former gear in the game, he wouldn't have such a difficult time in his fights in the new world.
As he looked carefully around, this time he was not inside the Shadow Realm, but a dimly lit dungeon arena ten times the size of a normal dungeon room. When he looked around, there was a dungeon orb, right in the middle, and he went up to smack it.
In an instant, dozens of ghouls spawned in the room and echoes of growling and moaning could be heard throughout the dungeon room.
"Damn, I should have noticed this was Peaca Abyss Advanced Dungeon when I hit the orb!" Axel thought to himself. Although the dungeon itself did not pose a significant threat to Axel who was a former legend in the game of Mabinogi, it was still quite annoying to get rid of the numerous waves of monsters within this dungeon. Unlike a normal dungeon, an Abyss Advanced Dungeon exists in the form of 4 larger dungeon rooms, usually several times larger than a normal dungeon room. Inside each room, there are usually 10 waves of mobs, and each mob has monsters far surpassing the numbers of a normal dungeon room. For even a relatively strong player in Mabinogi, this can be detrimental if one loses their guard at any time. All the monsters have high physical and magic defense, and are in possessions of unique skills that can turn the tides of the battlefield in an instant at times.
Right as Axel was about to get into a combat stance, 5 different ghouls were aggroed and they slowly rush over to Axel. Ghouls are generally very slow and similar in movement speed to that of zombies. However, they are much stronger than zombies in physical attacks and has a strong knockback strike that can be devastating for weak players.
As if it was second nature, Axel spun his body into a top like motion and kicked all of the ghouls to one side. This is the skill 'Windmill', which utilizes a 360 degree acrobatic full body spin that can knockback several enemies in a radius of 300 meters in the early ranks of the skill. It can reach up to a 500 meter radius once the skill reaches the highest rank. Although it is an archaic skill that is now used mostly like a normal attack in the current phase of the game, it used to be one of the sole multi-target skills that players had early on in the game. The power of this skill can be very useful when used by a veteran player like Axel. Not only can it hit all the incoming enemies, but it can one shot even monsters like ghouls in Peaca Abyss Advanced Dungeon.
With this successful counterattack, more ghouls rushed in on Axel, and this time 'Windmill' was on cooldown. He could only normally attack at the ghouls, but the length of the Soluna Blade conquered the ghouls that tried to hug onto Axel. With a few slashes, the ghouls fell to the ground once more. With a few more cycles of switching between 'Windmill' and normal attacks, the first wave of monsters were defeated, and another wave had spawned.
This second wave was considerably trickier in terms of the types of monsters that appeared. There were Metal Skeletons, Bone Drakes, and Black Prison Zombies. Metal Skeletons may have low health points, but they are able to use both melee and archery, which can be troublesome when it has marked a player. Bone Drakes are a small type of undead dragon, which can be deadly for the living when its unique skills are used. Lastly, Black Prison Zombies are not all that strong, but they have a ridiculous amount of health points and can summon Prison Flying Swords which can be hard to deal with when summoned in large numbers.
While this might have been overwhelming to the average player, Axel paid no attention to the sparsely spread out second wave of monsters. With a grunt, he activated 'Final Hit' and bombarded the Black Prison Zombies with lightning fast blows.
"Zzzzzssshhhiiiiii!!!!!!! Zzzzzssshhhiiiiii!!!!!!! Zzzzzssshhhiiiiii!!!!!!!"
Although he was using the skill with a two-handed sword, the overall weight of each attack seemed to trump the attack of 'Final Hit' when used with dual wield blades. In a matter of seconds, all the zombies were dead, and it saved Axel from dealing with annoying summoned Flying Sword mobs. With a considerable amount of time left to be used for his 'Final Hit', he moved onto the Bone Drakes. The proud undead dragon seemed to be diced into bone chips as if it was a brittle ingredient for cooking. The metal skeletons, that were aggroed and ready to shoot arrows at Axel, were each instantly destroyed in a single strike. By the time the second wave was completely taken care of, the third wave of monsters appeared out of thin air.
