Capítulo 30: Been hesitate
"I will be back."
I excused my self from Subway's Alexander and rushing towards other Alexander, my new family addition member. Still frowning, Alex pulls out a big note from his wallet. This amount enough to buy a complete set of the sandwich for five people. Perplexed, I stared at Alex. Why he gives me the money?
Looking at Malina who has still clueless standing in front of him. Alex restrains himself from sigh over.
"Buy me the same thing you order."
Her eyes sparkle when my request finally register on her scatterbrain. Malina walks faster towards the counter to continue her ordering. Even though she still conversing with the annoying guy in front of her, Alex sadly cannot hear what the contents they talk about since from where he sits and Malina standing is quite far to listen but close enough to watch their expression. Suddenly Malina turns her head facing him. Seem a little bit hesitant. Then she turned back her face and completed the order.
After a few minutes, Malina came over with a tray of two sets of sandwiches and soft drinks. She looks a little bit guilty when placing the food on the table. She unwrapped her sandwich and waited until I do the same before start eating. The overflowing vegetables and the fillings make it no longer like a decent sandwich.
"I like chicken teriyaki and B.M.T.....and a lot of vegetables. Put aside what you don't like and I will eat it later." She said without looking at my eyes.
Ah..so that the reason of guilty looks. Or is there anything else brewing between those two when ordering?
"Bon appetit!"
"Bon appetit"
Previously, I don't have any appetite but looking her eating so heartfelt enjoying her sandwiches perks my interest to eat it too. Is it that tasty?
Malina looks surprised and a little disappointed when I "clean" it all. She sure likes to eat but eat too slow since I am already done eating mine.
That annoying guy still watching us or should I say watching her be to be put it accurately. I look at Malina who seem oblivious about herself been object of interested by another guy. This seems a bit is weird since this somehow eases my irritation. Irritation, huh?
"Ah, so full. Really delicious!"
If you still didn't feel full of those extra filling, it makes me wonder how big is it your stomach space. But of course, those words only echoing on deep in my mind. It doesn't matter since she was not waste any food. Feel every penny worth spent. It's a déjà vu feeling. Where did I hear it before?
