Laz only knew the giant's true strength and level because it was something he was told. Honestly speaking, the little bit of blood that had been sealed and set within Laz's foundation was like a constant stream of information, things that he would have no way of finding out otherwise. One has to remember that these things that Laz was experiencing were so far out of the realm of normal, just saying he was blazing a new path doesn't nearly describe the scope of things. So there had been many things happening that people didn't understand.

And a thirty foot tall giant was definitely a new one for most everyone here. No one knew a thing about it such as how strong it was. No matter how brave Laz's friends were, there would be hesitation when going up against a monster like that. The scariest thing has always been the unknown.

Because of this, Laz was ecstatic with the information he had been getting as it was able to give everyone some piece of mind and he didn't mind sharing.
