Capítulo 101: Ugly duckling
She was done with her dress and hair and now it was time for her makeup, Alena glanced at the wall clock and noticed it was almost time. She was getting nervous now as she was attending as someone's wife and has to face the crowd. The stylist quickly applied little makeup on her face and highlighted her eyes in the darker shade to look more mature and for the lips she chose dark red lipstick which was like a cherry on the cake.
Alena came downstairs when she was ready to leave, she walking towards the sofa when she heard something falling down to the floor, she turned to look and saw it was Damon in black suit. Her eyes were focused on his tie which was of same color as her dress. She saw him picking his phone from the floor then speaking "If you are done then hurry up". Alena nodded and grabbed the gift and her outer from the table and followed him outside. He was already sitting in the car when she came outside, she got to the other side and sat silently.
Damon was simply mesmerized by his wife's beauty, when he entered the house he glanced at the woman who was descending the stairs and was so lost that he dropped his phone but soon became angry as she was looking so beautiful that he didn't want to bring her anymore. He watched her from the corner of his eyes as she silently sat beside him. He wanted to compliment her but the words that came out of his mouth were "Even an ugly ducking can become peony flower after getting a make over". His assistant in the front was mentally face slapping himself on behalf of his boss. Alena didn't reply because she did not want to fight with him and cause a scene before the banquet. She simply looked out of the window completely ignoring him. Damon was embarrassed by her behavior and wanted to scold her more when his phone vibrated. He glanced at him phone and a wicked smile formed on his lips, he thought "Let's see how much you can ignore me today, i will be sure to make you bow to me today".
