Capítulo 76: "AN ANOTHER MEETING"
Damon's Pov
After reaching for his company, Alena directly went to her Employee section to get hold of the things going on in the company so that she can do her work in a better way. Although she could have waited for me or asked me because of her anger she ignored me. I guess I will have to work really hard to be in at least talking level to her. Sigh!!! What can I do???
She is absolutely taking good care of my mother on the other hand I have always been a jerk who only humiliates her. As I was thinking all these, I heard a knock on the door and I replied, "Come in". I saw she was walking towards me with a pile of files and put all that on the table and said, "These are the files for today's meeting, I have marked the points that you need to go through" She said everything without even looking at me. I replied, "I see, you can go work on other files".
She was walking towards the door when I asked, "Where are you going, I have arranged your seat over here". She replied, "I am discussing work over the land with Sister Angela, so I won't be able to work here till that project ends" and left without even looking at me.
I dialed a number and asked the Project Manager to change the members and he did so. Soon she came fuming back in my cabin and I could feel the temperature dropping. She angrily sat on the table and kept making noise till the lunch break. I wanted to have lunch with her but she already left. I thought she might be eating with her colleagues but she was not. I checked the cafeteria but she was not there so I called the bodyguards that I have assigned to protect her and that's when I came to know she was again testing my patience.
Alena's Pov
During the lunch break
Alena was fuming hard "Just how could he be so insensitive, he knew I was ignoring him but still he kicked me out of the project on which I started to work even I liked that work" "He is so bad, I hate me to the fullest". As I was shouting, I heard someone from behind "Who made you so angry that you are shouting on the road in the daybreak?"
I turned to give a kickass reply "What has it to do with you? as I was speaking my voice was gradually lowering because of the person whom I saw. He was the same person whom I met on the road that day. I was too shocked to say anything so I was staring at him blankly. He waved his hand in front of me and asked "Are you alright, I am not a ghost so why are you looking so scared?" I smiled awkwardly and said, "I am so sorry for staring at you like a stupid person, and thank you so much for that day" and bowed slightly. He chuckled and said, "I won't take your thanks, you can treat me to lunch and we will be even".
I was surprised but still managed to reply to him with a fine. He guided me to the nearest cafe and we found a seat near the window. While he was sitting, a little boy crashed into him, and just in time he grabbed him otherwise he would have hit the table and it might become serious. A lady came hurridely and started checking the boy with tears in her eyes. She said, "Damon, I have told you so many times not to run, if not for this gentleman you would be seriously injured say thank you to him. I was shocked to hear the boy's name I thought "Man, what's wrong with people how can they name their child Damon... I mean please this name only brings evil to another person's life".
The little boy bowed and said, "Thank you, uncle" and the man replied, "It's fine just be careful from now onwards". I thought it was really sweet of him to say all this to a stranger kid although I am still strange to him. Then the lady turned to me and said, "Girl, you have really good eyes to have such a loving boyfriend, I wish you both live for eternity like this". I was like "What?" I wanted to correct her but the man spoke before me "Thanks for your wishes mam, but I am the fortunate one to have such a loving and caring girlfriend". I was speechless...And I felt a chill run down my spine and that's when I noticed something.
There was someone else standing by the door listening to all these and burning with anger.
