Time: 9:00 PM -
Edwin packed his bags for the weekend trip with Diego's and Anna's fathers. Diego admitted to joining them. The mothers planned to visit the spa and relax while Lillian invited Anna over to spend the weekend at Lillian's place. The plan got fixed already. However, to commemorate their spectacular weekend gateway, Anna and Diego came up with the BBQ party idea.
Edwin liked it, and so, they had a blast that evening.
"Dad, did you pack everything?" Lillian barged into Edwin's room to help with packing.
"Of course," Edwin replied still busy in packing his fishing equipment. Their trip involved fishing activity. As a cooking enthusiast, Edwin promised the gang to cook the fish they catch. Since, it'll be only the guys trip where all the fathers' hangout, Edwin couldn't contain his excitement.
Lillian felt happy for her dad.
"That's good." Lillian sighed in joy.
"Oh, dad?" Lillian remembered something.
"Hmm…"
When Edwin responded, Lillian requested her father not to leave Diego alone. She knew the trip is going to be only with the fathers,' but still, Diego will be the only boy in the gang.
Diego, himself requested to join the trip which the elders accepted graciously. However, Lillian asked her father to accompany Diego and not make him feel abandoned.
"Of course, dear, I like the guy. He's one of us. Maybe, you girls think that he's your age but let me say this. He's already an old guy in his mind. Trust me." Edwin smiled assuring his daughter to fulfill her request.
The guys got ready. Since they had planned for BBQ at Lillian's place, Anna and Diego left home after school packed their belongings and came straight to Lillian's place.
"I'm ready," Diego announced.
Lillian and Edwin came out of his room with their packed bags.
"Have fun, you guys," Anna said.
"Yes, have fun and Diego, stay as a kid itself, don't let these old guys manipulate you. Especially, my dad" Lillian signaled Diego to look out.
Edwin snickered.
Diego stood in a daze. He couldn't decipher Lillian's hidden message.
"Don't go drinking alcohol with them, even if they insist. I know these old fellows might trigger you in drinking, but don't fall for it." Lillian yelled.
She started her solo mimicking about the scenario:
"Hey, Diego, you should have a sip, man." Lillian impersonated Anna's father.
"Yeah, Yeah, I had my first drink when I was ten. You should start soon," this time Lillian imitated Edwin.
"Why don't you just take a sip, Diego?" Lillian didn't leave Diego's father too.
…
Anna burst out in laughter at Lillian's solo performance.
Edwin knocked his daughter on the head to make her stop. He did feel proud of her great mimicking talent. She did entertain them with her performance. Edwin chuckled as they all stepped out in the nighttime.
Edwin loaded his and Diego's bags in his car. Diego stood with the girls while Edwin stored their bags.
"So, you girls, don't have too much fun. Keep it down. Don't get in trouble." Diego advised.
"Hey, we're super quiet." Anna snapped.
"For one, you got Lilly. That itself denies the quiet factor." Diego mocked making Lillian give him the eye.
"Alright. Alright. Don't get into trouble." Diego said as he made his way to the car.
"Yes, and don't burn my kitchen, girls. If you do anything to my baby, you will regret it. There, I said it." Edwin shouted from the inside of his car.
He warned Lillian separately where she requested him not to say such things in front of Anna. But still, Edwin said it, knowing about the girls, specifically his daughter, Lillian.
"Sure, Mr. Grey. I'll protect it with my life against Lilly." Anna promised.
Edwin gave her the thumbs up.
"Can you guys please leave already?"
"Why is it all related to me?" Lillian shouted in rage.
"Because, it's you, Lilly" Diego yelled back.
For a second, all of them faced Lillian. Lillian froze in her spot as she knew what they referred.
Edwin started the engine, Diego waved happily to his friends who did the same.
They all said goodbyes to each other, and soon, Edwin's car vanished into the road. Anna and Lillian waited until they lost the vision of the car, and then came inside.
"So, we've got all weekend by ourselves?" Anna said while smirking.
"I guess," Lillian replied, her brows rose in excitement.
