Yan Su opened her mouth to protest but she held herself back. 

She wasn't familiar with him after all. He probably wouldn't listen to her.

"Is your friend on good terms with her boyfriend?" Mo Liuxi asked as she was playing with her phone.

"Yeah, she is," Yan Su answered as she scrolled through her social media account. "Her boyfriend is nice and he's super good-looking too."

"Superficial," he said with mockery.

Yan Su was stunned and annoyed. "Yeah, I am superficial. What business is that of yours?"

"Not my business."

The conversation ended there.

It was silence in the car for a long while after that. Yan Su prayed they would arrive at their destination soon. She didn't want to get a ride from the neighbor again.

When they reached the mall, Yan Su said a curt 'thanks' before climbing out of the vehicle.
