"Why?" Eve asked as she turned her head, refusing to drink the broth. The burly man brought the bowl back to her lips and sighed. "You are a very good sister. You've barely eaten so your sister could have more food. You don't know how you look like. You're skin and bones now. If you tried to use the gun you would have shattered your shoulder." The burly man explained softly.

Eve pursed her lips. The burly man placed the bowl down and wrapped his arms around Eve's small body. "If you want to escape you need your strength... I will help you. This is not what I signed up for." The burly man whispered into Eve's ear. Eve flinched she didn't believe the burly man. He had threatened Emmeline with the gun.
