Capítulo 15: Failure leads to Success 1
The music pots were filled with orange ripe peppercorns, the spikes of the vine were emptied and another batch of spikes was growing with 50-60 green berries.
"The hell! Viola?!"
"Y-yes? Why are you shouting?"
He scratches the back of his head and smiled awkwardly, "Argg! No don't mind me, just call Della and Rita and you can play with the kittens again."
Not long after, Della and Rita arrived, "Rita and Della, come here help me picks up this fruits before they evolve to black ant peppers."
"Ehh? W-why are they orange?" Rita asks confusingly, "Grandpa's peppers are black!"
Della chuckled and replied calmly, "Those are ripe peppers, you need to dry it on the sun for them to turn black."
"We're not going to make black peppercorns with this coz it's ripe already, So let's collects everything we can," He said, (Six pots, 30-40 spikes per pots, each spike were had abnormal size with 70-80 berries! I wanna die!)
Rita's face was filled with discontent, "Wah! Why did you have to wait until it's on the ground?"
"Just do it, I'll let you play with blackcurrant nether panther and giant ginger cat if we end this earlier." He pointed to where Viola and Violet are playing and smiled.
"C-c-cats! Let's do this!"
Then the picking competition finally started! Lucas gave Della and Rita his gloves so they can carry the big pot where they will put the fruits. The small berries were easy to spot because of it's color but were so hard to collect.
Not far from them, Hugo, Ranrem, and Neil were watching their group.
Neil look at Hugo and asks, "Hugo, did you find it weird? His plants grow fast and his harvest is enormous. Peppers, from my studies, it needs 4 years to bear fruits if it's planted from seed with normal water and soil, 1 year if you gave one mana grains every day! Look at those peppercorns, only six pots and they are able to bear three times my harvest in one pot per week!"
"Yes, grandpa. The weirdest thing is those on the end of the dome, red Planteros with black wings were flying around that area!"
"Grandpa, He's not resting either." Ranrem cut in.
Neil was silent for a moment and replied calmly, "Let's just observe him for days, I found his tools filled with natures aura, maybe it can explain everything, oh, except for not resting!"
Lucas did not know that he has become a topic of their discussion and continue picking up ripe peppercorns.
After two hours, they have managed to fill two pot with ripe peppercorns. 7 kilos and 800 grams from six pots!
"Cats! Heal me!" Rita and Della run to the basket and play with the fluffy fur of the kittens
Viola and Violet already left and started to prepare for dinner.

The numbers of black ant peppers multiplied suddenly, I should have picked them up earlier!
He just sighed and put several mana grains at the soil. Just a few seconds, two inches plants went out from underneath the pots.
Their leader was the 4-inch length and has bigger pincer, with a reddish black shiny exoskeleton.
"Same, same, every Planteros were obsessed with mana, but still, their color did not turn white, maybe if I removed the husk?"
He stops thinking and just poured mana water on the pots, "Haist, they are even bigger than bullet ants, hmm, now that it's about ant, I marvel on their exoskeleton, it's so epic! Haha, 'Ant Canada' ha? This is the real deal. Do I have to buy a new item, shovel? or Hammer?"

Shining black hammer fall on his front, he picks up the hammer to test it's featured. The weight was as if lifting two kilos of stones, means it's not that heavy for a god's artifact. He tried to smash it to the ground and bang! The soil it hit turned solid! he poured water on it, but the water just slid as if it's waterproof! He satisfyingly smiled and put on his bag. He took the pot of ripe peppercorns and observed it's texture.
"Based on the internet, when I was searching about white peppercorns, it needs to soak in water, rub to remove its husk and dried afterward. The fermentation process takes 10 days which is too long! Haist, it means I can only rush using mana to grow new peppercorns tonight!"
He set aside the pot and took an empty pot and harvest unripe peppercorns. He watered the plant with water with concentrated mana this time, the plant glows and new spikes, and unripe green peppercorns. The vines produced multiple spikes every thirty minutes! About 4 hours he finally harvested 56 kilos of green peppercorns, he boiled a huge pot of water and cooked the peppercorns a bit.
Looking at his watch, he suddenly rushes out of the dome, "Sh*t! It's already 11 PM! My food?!"
Ranrem who is guarding for the night look at him and ignored him.
"Erg! Rem, where's the rest?"
She just stared at him and shook her head, "Don't know."
(Shit I forgot, it's waste of the to talk to her!) He sighed and sat on the ground. (Just how long I was awake? My brain hurts.)
"I might fail to produce peppers, I need to rest! Haist!"
He shook his head and went inside the dome, he pulled out, 8 pots of green peppercorns, outside and armed with his hammer. He finds a wide space 30 meters away from the dome and hammers the ground to solidify the soil. He hammered a 40m² land to spread the peppercorns to dry.
5 AM when he finally spread every the peppercorn across the field. He touches his head and knitted his brows, looking at the field. "I... I'm too greedy, I failed! How am I supposed to dry them up?"
He hit his chest hard, he can't breathe properly, too much confidence, too much greed. I can't be like this, I must take some rest.
Lucas falls asleep in the middle of the field, his tears dried up and his muscles relaxed.
"He finally rests ha?" Neil asked.
Viola pouted and put his hand on his back, "He did not even eat last night, I did my best to cook those dishes but he's so busy!"
Hugo scratch his head, "Grandpa Neil, he like rushing things,.. what if,--- what if he rushes Della to do that th- buhook!"
Neil delivered an elbow on his stomach, he pulled his clothes and said, "Oh, I remember that you don't have any experience, want to try the pervert banana duck of the guild?"
The weakened Hugo suddenly showed a terrified face, and look at Neil's eyes, "Hii! N-no, Grandpa, I'll shut up! I'll shut up!"
"Haha, let's go. Let him rest, Della, look after him."
Everyone proceed with their own business. Hugo was instructed to guard the dome's entrance and Coco, Viola and Violet feed Lucas' Planteros, Rita and Neil went to harvest, while Della and Ranrem guarded Lucas. Ranrem sleeps on Della's side because she was duty last night and was tired of guarding Lucas.
The sky is dark as if there's a storm brewing in the sky, the clouds were tight close. Della reacted fast and ask Viola and Violet to harvest the peppercorns at the field. The sky remained unchanged.
*Thunnndddddeerr!
"Hii!" Lucas shivered, the thundering noise of the sky wake him up, he looks at the girls who are trying their best to save his crops.
He calmed himself and help the girls, "That's enough! Run inside the dome!"
Viola, Violet, and Della nodded their head, they just run towards the dome without thinking anything, Lucas poured six pots of peppercorns to his empty shrink bags and wear his shrink gloves, to carry the rest.
The rained started to pour when he saw a girl sleeping in the field, "S-sh*t Ranrem!" He put down the pots and run towards her, he carried Ranrem like a princess and dash in the middle of the rain.
They entered the dome and sighed in relief, he looks outside and watches the rain, "The raindrops are big, it even leaves a mark in the soil. Haist, Coco.."
Shrink gloves and bags could reduce 80% of mass but they can't shrink any living beings, Coco can't get the dome because of his size. Lucas looks at Coco helplessly, his husk was drenched in the rain and started to cover him.
He looked at Della and knitted his brows, "Della, how's Ranrem? Why is she asleep in the middle of the field?"
Della's body trembled a bit, "Sh-she is resting from her duty last night, she guarded you for long which exhausted her too."
"Aish! So stubborn!" He carried Ranrem and said, "Brother Hugo, please guard the entrance, girls come with me."
Lucas went straight to the basket of felines and look at his kittens sleeping, the cold weather makes them cuddled each other to beaten their body, he put Ranrem near them to let her sleep more comfortable, "Girls, take some rest. I'll just check something."
The girls did not say anything and just nodded. Lucas checks the corner of the dome if water entered the place. The 2 feet thick glass was sealed using flamethrower like apparatus which make his dome waterproof, it also three meters underneath the ground.
Only the entrance is the source of the flood.
"Where's Rita and Grandpa?"
Hugo looks at him and sighed, "They are at the city, they delivered the crops they harvested today, they'll be here anytime now."
Just after his words, Neil's truck arrives near the entrance.
They are welcomed by Lucas and Hugo, "Oh, brat, so you're already awake, how's the rest? Does it clear your mind? Refreshed?"
"Haha," Lucas laughs out of embarrassment, he pinched his nose and look outside, "Yeah, the rain is cold, it makes me feel alive again!"
Neil looks at his face and laugh, he patted his back and said, "Haha, brat! This kind of rain indicates that the winter is near, two months, and the price of pepper will be double!"
Lucas just smiled and went at the entrance, he made a wall of mud at the entrance and used his hammer. The mud suddenly solidifies and stop the flood from entering the place.
Neil, Rita, and Hugo look at him at astonishment, (T-this, another magic item!?)
"Haha, I'll check my plants too, just call me something happens," Lucas said and walk away.

In the city,
"Young master Rezmon, I already know who the cloaked person is." ???
Rezmon smile under his mask and nodded.
"He's Lucas, a C class adventurer, they live together with outside the city territory." ???
"He~, outside the city hah? Prepare the King Jack Orangutan, five alpha with 4 underlings. Also, make the Queen melon bomb to give us 5 of his underlings We'll be dealing with them, a week from now." He licks his lips and crossed sit on his throne-like chair, "Going out of the city, living with another man, looks like I have to teach her a lesson. Fufu, Lucas, we meet again."
