Capítulo 3: Seeing You Once More
Grabbing his backpack before leaving the apartment, Wei Yang was incredibly nervous.**
What would happen if I see her again? What should I say to her? Will she think of me as some creep?
Being deep in thought, Wei Yang had not realized how far he had walked as he already arrived before his school.
Taking a deep breath, Wei Yang decided to not think about it as he wanted to confront her head on.
Walking to his class, Wei Yang couldn't help but feel his heart pounding. This classroom had both blissful and sorrowful moments.
Being able to see and chat with Xu Lian everyday, yet also feeling inferior to her by the remarks of his classmates.
Inhaling deeply once more, Wei Yang then told himself inwardly. "But this time I'm no longer the coward I was before."
Walking into the classroom, Wei Yang instinctively looked towards his table. He didn't look at his table because of his seat, but because of her seat. She had sat next to him in his third year of high school, which was now.
Turning his head, his expression melted as his heart pounded. Sweat was gathering in between his palms as he appeared nervous. Wei Yang couldn't help but tear up as he tried to hold himself back.
There she was.
Xu Lian was holding her head up with one arm propped up on her table as she chatted along with her girl friends, laughing and smiling cheerfully.
Wei Yang couldn't help but stare at her as if she was the only one in the classroom.
"8 years..."
"I finally get to see you once more after 8 years."
Probably feeling Wei Yang's gaze, Xu Lian turned her head towards him.
Wei Yang couldn't help but feel nervous as he quickly shifted his eyes away before walking over to his seat next to her.
Walking up to her, Wei Yang intended to introduce himself casually as the person who sits next to her. However, once Wei Yang had walked up to her, he couldn't bring himself to say anything as he awkwardly stared at her.
In the end, it was Xu Lian who had first spoken. "Ah, is this your seat?"
Moving one seat over, Xu Lian smiled as she introduced herself. "Hello, my name is Xu Lian. Please take care of me for the year."
Wei Yang felt a string tugging his heart as he listened to the serene voice flowing through his ears. "H-hello, my name is Wei Yang. Please take care of me too."
Not daring to look at her any longer, Wei Yang quickly turned away as he didn't want her to see him crying.
Xu Lian didn't get a chance to talk with Wei Yang further as her friends dragged her back into their previous conversation.
"Xuxu, did you hear about our new homeroom teacher?" One of Xu Lian's friend spoke in an enthusiastic tone.
Wei Yang dug through his memories as he remembered that this girl was called Zhi Ruo.
Thinking about this girl, Wei Yang couldn't help but be angry.
This was because although this girl seemed like Xu Lian's friend, she actually had another motive. Xu Lian's sister had secretly bribed Zhi Ruo into becoming 'friends' with Xu Lian so she could learn about all the plans Xu Lian had.
When Xu Lian found out that Zhi Ruo was a spy, Xu Lian was heartbroken as she cried to Wei Yang that night. At that time Wei Yang could only console her as he patter her back. "Some people will regret their actions sooner or later. You don't need to worry about her."
Wei Yang clenched his fist while cursing inwardly to himself. "If you make the same mistake, don't blame me for being ruthless first."
"The teacher? Ah, he's my brother's friend. We even had dinner together last night." Xu Lian disinterestedly replied.
Hearing that Xu Lian had dinner together with the handsome teacher, Zhi Ruo clenched her teeth as she couldn't help but feel envious. "Why does she get to have a dinner with him? He should be with me!"
Of course Zhi Ruo didn't show this on the outside as she concealed her jealousy in her eyes. "Ah, so you had dinner together? I didn't know. Hehe."
Wei Yang couldn't help but have the urge to vomit as he listened to her fake words.
Thankfully though, the new homeroom teacher came in telling all the students to sit down.
Seeing the homeroom teacher, Zhi Ruo couldn't help but blush as she instantly ran across the room and sat down without saying bye to Xu Lian.
"Hmph, how disgusting." Wei Yang couldn't help but snort as he muttered aloud.
"Huh? Did you say something?" Xu Lian abruptly turned her head as she asked Wei Yang.
"Crap! I totally forgot how sensitive Xu Lian's ears were." Wei Yang couldn't but turn nervous as he sensed Xu Lian's gaze on him.
"Dammit Wei Yang! You're supposed to be 25! How can you not deal with a 17 year old girl?" Wei Yang cursed himself inwardly.
Although he comforted himself inwardly, on the outside he still spoke nervously. Luckily he only spoke so in front of her, otherwise if it was in front of other people...it would be quite embarrassing.
"You should be careful around her, she's not who you think she is. I heard her talking about you with your sister in the hallways."
Xu Lian couldn't help but feel shocked as she turned her head towards Zhi Ruo before turning back to Wei Yang. "En, thanks for warning. I will look into it."
Although Xu Lian said this on the outside, she had already believed Wei Yang. Although she didn't understand why, she felt as if the boy next to her would never harm her.
Disrupted in her thoughts, the homeroom teacher started introducing himself. "Hello, my name is Teng Fei. I had previously studied abroad at Harvard University before coming back to China. I look forward to a wonderful year with you all."
As the homeroom teacher finished speaking, all the girls started squeaking as they admired how handsome he was.
All except for Xu Lian who had her head propped up by her hand.
Seeing this, Wei Yang couldn't help but want to poke her nose. "How cute!"
Xu Lian sensing Wei Yang looking at her again, she turned her head swiftly. This time she directly caught Wei Yang looking at her.
Xu Lian smiled towards Wei Yang as she asked. "Aha! I caught you. Speak, why are you always sneakily glancing at me? Is there something on my face?"
Wei Yang expression stiffened as he instinctively asked. "You knew?"
Feeling shocked by his own words, Wei Yang suddenly froze as he turned towards Xu Lian only to see her giggling. "Pfft. See you even admitted it. Now answer my question."
Xu Lian smiled triumphantly as if she had won a war.
Seeing the girl act so cocky, Wei Yang could no longer hold back. How can I lose to a girl even after reincarnating? Since you want to play then I'll play with you to the end!
"Ahhh. I'm just admiring a piece of art in front of me. Don't mind me." Since you've caught me, I no longer need to hide it!
Xu Lian giggled not saying anything else as she turned her head around.
Wei Yang could see a bit of red on her face and leaked out a smile.
In reality, Xu Lian was actually still paying attention to Wei Yang. When she saw that Wei Yang was suddenly smiling, she couldn't help but ask. "Hey, what are you smiling for?"
Wei Yang laughed as he replied. "Ah, this piece of art is really weird. I think I can see some redness on her face."
"Y-y-you...who are you calling weird huh?! You're the one that's weird! And my face is only red because it's hot! Hmph, weirdo."
Wei Yang didn't say anything as he continued smiling while looking at her.
Xu Lian's face continued to grow redder as she could no longer hold back stomping Wei Yang's foot. "You're still looking?! And stop smiling!"
Although the stomp didn't hurt Wei Yang at all because of his cultivation, he still pretended to act like it was painful as he sucked in a deep breath of air. "Ai ai, no more. I'm wrong big missy."
Seeing that she had 'beaten' Wei Yang, Xu Lian giggled as she let out a smile causing Wei Yang to feel wronged. "Hey, how come you're smiling and I can't?"
Xu Lian looked at him as if he was an idiot. "Hmph, obviously it's because I'm me. Also, no one is stopping you from smiling." Xu Lian then pretended as if she was stretching her legs casting a provoking look towards Wei Yang.
Seeing this, Wei Yang had nothing to say as he thought inwardly. "This girl...just as shameless as she used to be."
...
Soon, school was over as Wei Yang was reluctant to leave because of Xu Lian. "Who would of thought that I wanted to continue staying in school?"
Xu Lian then packed her bags as she walked away while speaking. "Weirdo, see you tomorrow!"
Hearing his nickname, Wei Yang couldn't help but smile wryly. Still considering all the flirting and small talks he had with Xu Lian, Wei Yang considered it a job well done.

Exiting the school campus, Wei Yang decided that he would start working today. Besides getting closer to Xu Lian, earning money right now was the main priority.
Wei Yang remembered that there was an internet cafe nearby which usually had a lot of students go by after school.
Wei Yang had also decided to head there as well since it would be a great, cheap and private place to log onto the computers at. This internet cafe was one of the best in town as it even rented out private small rooms for people who preferred quiet places to play at or if they wanted to reserve a room to set up a gaming party.

Walking through the doors of the internet cafe, Wei Yang could see various age of people from kids to young adults.
Making his way towards the register, Wei Yang scrummaged through his pockets only taking out 20 RMB which could only allow Wei Yang to rent out a private room with computer access for a few hours.
After registering, Wei Yang made his way to the small private room as he rubbed his fingers on the keyboard feeling a sense of nostalgia from the taps.
Turning on the computer, Wei Yang quickly hacked into the central computer which had control over all the computers in the internet cafe.
By doing this, Wei Yang wanted to use a ton of proxy's on other computers to help mislead other hackers in case Wei Yang made a mistake.
