Capítulo 5: A Helping Hand...

Mrs Mathew , the annoying neighbor who poked her nose into everyone's life to cook up stories came to Bella for a favour.. She needed her home to be made clean and shiny for the next day since some rich guy was coming to meet her daughter with his family..

She was never willing to pay much but still she promised a pay.. And any sort of money at this time was a good news..

Annie sent Bella to Mrs Mathew's house eagerly and received the pay in advance..

It was the first time Bella is being to such a large house.. There was no need for Mrs Mathew to sent for Bella for cleaning up her mansion.. There was already servants pouring out into the entrance ... She always had her way of finding happiness..

Lawrence, Bella's father was her first love who had rejected her proposal to marry off into a poor family by tying the knot with Jennie.. Mrs Mathew still looked beautiful, but her evil way of taking revenge was familiar to all..

Even Annie loathed her but since she was in a state of utter poverty, there was only this way in front of her..

Bella never minded anyway.. She always looked like a spoiled guy with short wig hair, shirt and pants.. She believed her to be that way never minding the insults or scowls thrown at her.. She managed to avoid every scary lips and sometimes wondered whether her disabilities were a blessing..

When the house turned to look speck and clean, she rushed to the garden.. She was really fond of this garden and always had a secret peek at it everyday through her windows..

It had all sorts of flowers.. which bloomed at all times and it was the first time she got a close view..

She saw an old man walking towards her from the distance..

"You must be the daughter of our Lawrence.." Bella could barely read the old man's lips..

She nodded.

"I am an old friend of his.." He shook his head and whispered something which she could not make out..

He handed over some money to Bella and spoke with teary eyes ,.. "I owe him this money, atleast I lived up to giving this to his daughter.., your father was a good man.. " He shook his head and turned muttering something ...

The money was little too much.. And it was given by her father.. Bella tucked it into her pocket and rushed to the nearby publishing centre..
