As the carriages followed the trail leading into the Moon Land, the night enveloped them as the bright starts illuminated their path.
Tria and Crei were silently sitting next to each other, and she could feel his uneasiness.
"Husband, I hope you won't resent me for letting that man travel with us," said Tria to Crei.
"I trust you, wifey," answered Crei, and caressing Tria's face, as she leaned on him.
"Hm."
"Is everything alright? Are you still thinking about the events from earlier?" asked Crei.
"Kind of, those people, why did they kill themselves? What was the purpose of that? Also, their souls were sealed away, and there was nothing I could do," said Tria.
"Don't worry about it wifey, those people have probably made an exchange at the price of their souls. Such evil practices are not new; however, those people have never shown themselves in public before. The Eye, or whatever it is called, is probably a branch from a bigger one where they idolized a devil of some sort."
"Truly wicked!"
"Besides, wifey, I wonder more about why that man has such an interest to you?" asked Crei seriously.
Tria has never seen such a serious expression on Crei's face before. Although he says he trusted her, it didn't mean that he completely overlooked it.
Of course, Crei wasn't happy, another man nicknamed his wife 'little rabbit', and now he was traveling with them. If it wasn't because he didn't want to seem too overbearing and overprotective, he would have buried that man alive already.
"About that, husband, there is something I have been meaning to talk to you, however, I just couldn't find the right time," nervously said Tria.
'How exactly do you tell your husband that men will come running towards you because you have a lotus screaming to be consumed in your chest?' she thought, this was a dilemma.
"You can talk to me wifey," said Crei, concerned.
Tria sighed in defeat, she needed to tell him.
"That one night before we separated before our date. I have unsealed a lotus, which is now located in my chest…It…um…It attracts some men towards me-
"What?!"
"Um…let me finish, it will attract only certain types of men apparently, I am not sure though. However, the thing is, whoever consumes my lotus will turn into a God and the offspring will become an emperor-
"Unbelievable! How could you hold such a thing from me?" asked Crei, he didn't know what emotion he should be displaying at the moment.
"Husband, I'm not finished…I wanted to tell you, but the thing is, for the contender to become a God, it requires him to be at least a celestial-
"I don't care about becoming God, I am your husband, what is this contender thing? If I cannot sacrifice such a thing then I do not deserve you," said Crei, he was getting more and heated up the more he heard.
"I know, I know, however, if you are not a celestial, not only will your cultivation be wiped out, my priestess powers will be gone as well."
Crei sucked in cold breath of air then exhaled loudly, this was not something he could instantly digest. He needed more time to think about this, and wanted to leave for a bit. However, he thought about the man in red still preying over his wife, like a lion preying on a 'little rabbit'.
He was so frustrated, he was willing to sacrifice himself, however for her to lose her powers, that was really too much. At this point, he only had one choice, and that was to advance into the celestial level.
Tria noticed the myriad of emotions displayed on Crei face, it went from frustration to disappointment, and finally, determination. She silently waited for him to think it over, it really was not fair to not tell him as soon as it happened.
"Husband, I really hope you advance soon, it is just as frustrating for me as it is for you," said Tria.
"I am not frustrated for myself, I am frustrated for you, if this was to be known to the outside world, can you imagine the amount of trouble it will bring to you. Not only do I need to advance as soon as possible to hopefully remove that mark, but I also need to be powerful enough to protect you until you are ready," Crei said as he held on to her shoulders.
Tria felt his fingers trembling, she could feel his helplessness, and she felt sorry.
"I will not be returning to my home yet, I simply cannot leave you here on the lands by yourself, when your plan is completed, I will take you with me to my home, is that alright?" continued crei, decisively.
"I will go with you."
Coming to an agreement, this thing that has been growing has finally been cut down. They leaned against each other as they rode up along the trail.
In the first carriage, the man in red was laying on his side as he ate various fruits leisurely and thinking about his attraction to Tria. In the Moon Land, he has been sent many brides, however, he had rejected them all as none of were interesting enough to him. He was stupefied at the reaction he got when he saw Tria on that balcony. She was the first one to ever attract him, but he was not thoughtless, he knew that there must be more to it.
The carriages traveled over the mountain, and there was stationed a barricade with towers at the top.
Guards walked towards the carriages with their weapons in position.
"Only those with a pass shall enter the Moon Land, if you do not have one, please turn around,' said one of the guards in a loud voice.
The man in red who was in the first carriage opened his curtain and showed his handsome pale face as the wind blew against his hair.
"My-My Lord!" said all the guards as they kneeled upon seeing who it was.
"Welcome back, Lord Aten," welcomed an older guard when he saw who in the carriage. Then he signaled the other guards to open the gates and let the carriages through.
