Capítulo 97: Talk With Makarov II
After having finished our fight, we both sat down on the ground from where I stood. While I wasn't even the least bit tired, Makarov was panting heavily as he tried to recover from the fight. Seeing this I decided to help him out so that we can get down to talking quickly. I did have some important discussion to have with him. And so, I healed him using time and fixed his exhaustion and wounds and also let him get used to his younger body after recovering from exhaustion.
"So, are you finally going to tell me what is going on?" Makarov began after he went over his body and turned his serious face towards me. I knew he was curious on what my plans were but he trusted me enough to let me tell him on my own and didn't try to pry.
"Not exactly. I can't tell you the full details but I can tell you just a little bit. The reason I am training everyone is because I need help if I want to survive in the future. Me and the people who assigned me this last mission feel like this won't be the last time a situation like this occurs. It could happen again in the future and the chance of it being on an even bigger scale than this time." I replied to his question and told him just a little bit but enough to let him understand the situation. After having said up to here, I stopped to give him some time to digest.
"And let me tell you this, no one in the guild is even near enough to be in the vicinity of the battles that will occur at that time. And that includes you. There is a specific rank of strength that one must reach to be able to go and fight there and none of you are ready for that. In fact, I am doing this only as a backup plan to the actual counter measure we have come up with. The level all of you need to reach is not something that you can achieve any time soon. If I have to give an estimate, then I would say that you will be close enough to that level after five years of nonstop training. And even then, you will only be near to that level, not reach it." After giving some space to let him digest the first part of the information, I once again started to speak. And this time I had decided to tell him everything at once.
"I will be waiting for some time to wait for a certain event to happen to the guild. When that time comes, I will be gone to start preparing the real counter measure for the future. Until then, I will be training everyone at the guild including you. Once Laxus and his team comes back, there will be another event. After that, I will train him and his team. As for Gildarts and Mystogan, I can just take some time to train Gildarts while I train the other guild members. Mystogan on the other hand is a special case so he won't be needed to train." Once I spoke up to here, I finally stopped since I had think about on whether to tell Makarov about Mystogan's origin and that he will be leaving after Edolas arc.
"Alright, I'll let you decide on that on your own. But tell me this, just how strong exactly do we need to be and how strong are we right now in your eyes?" I didn't have to dwell on it too much though since Makarov chose to ignore it as well and asked me that.
"The strength I want you guys to reach is the level where you can casually destroy worlds if you feel like it." When I answered his first question, his eyes widened as he had not thought that I was talking about such amount of strength.
"As for the guild's current strength. You are definitely the fourth strongest member among the wizard saints and at the rate you are improving, you will probably become the second strongest after a year or so. As for becoming the strongest wizard saint, don't even think about that for now." I started off with evaluating Makarov first and all he did was raise an eyebrow and a nod at what I had to say about him.
"Next up, Erza and Mira. These two are already established S-rank mages so there is no real need to talk about their current strength. As for their potential, I can say that they would be near a wizard saints' strength after a year of training. The same goes for Natsu, Gray, Elfman and Cana. These four and the prior two, will definitely reach that level of strength after a year of their current training."
"After them comes Levy, Lisanna, Alzack, Bisca and Laki. Levy and Lisanna are no doubt two who you must have thought of on being up there on the rankings so I won't talk about them. The other three, though not as outstanding as the others I have mention, shows a lot of potential if trained well. Especially Laki, I know of someone who uses wood magic like her so I can help her in that regard." I was obviously talking about Hashirama when I said this but I said that he uses wood magic instead of saying chakra to do so. I had to adjust so as not to go into a full blown explanation on other worlds right now.
"Alzack and Bisca might have simple magic but they can use it in a variety of ways and only need someone to point the way for them. Their teamwork is also good since they go on missions together a lot so we can work on that as well."
"After them are the remaining ones. Droy, Jet, Macao, Max, Mest, Nab, Reedus, Wakaba, Warren. The ones I haven't mentioned are those that haven't trained with me. As for these nine members, they will need to train a lot to catch up with the rest but it is not entirely impossible to do so. The important ones that I haven't mentioned are Gildarts, Thunder God Tribe members, and of course Mystogan."
"As I said, I won't be training Mystogan so we don't have to talk about him. As for Freed, Bickslow and Evergreen, they will be trained after that event I told you will happen, happens. Laxus is also the same and that leaves Gildarts. I am going to be on the lookout for him so that I can go to him when I want to and train him then." I finally stopped here and Makarov slowly took in all of the information I said by crossing his arms and closing his eyes.
"Alright, I have a general idea on their strengths now. I will leave training them to you and I hope you make sure that they are strong enough to survive what you say will happen. And even if none of us end up reaching that strength, we will be there to help you. That is what Fairy Tail is, a family. And I for one, am for sure not going to let you go through that alone ever again." Makarov opened his eyes to show a steely determination behind them as he told me that. And hearing that only made me glad that I chose this world to come to and ended up joining this guild because of that.
