The next morning, as promised, Rong Jian went outside early in the morning and caught a bird from outside. However, as Shen Tianyu was an unruly early riser, he waited until she naurally woke up before he killed it. After all, he got today off because of his wedding so he could afford to wait for her. 

As he was silently staring at Shen Tianyu's sleeping face, her eyes quivered. He found her staring at him with drooping, beady eyes the color of the deep night. 

"Awake?" He asked as he got up without disturbing her too much.

"Hmn... I felt someone staring at me... so it was you." She rubbed her eyes and her hand fell back down onto the blanket. As she stared at the red ceiling of their bed, Rong Jian put on his clothes.
