Capítulo 5: Understanding

3 months have passed since the first 'peek' looking outside the world. Looking through his mother's eyes and ears is a very harsh training, while he has to maintain the mana in his mother's body without noticing to everyone, he must also try to last as long as possible, or else, what's the meaning of training to begin with...?
His body is fully formed now, its very strange, unlike the other of his race he 'maintained a human form', Sis guessed this is because his human soul has to adapt itself to the new body, looking human as possible, but it can't do miracles, he maintained the classic green of its species, maybe a light green, but no cigars, also he has claws and teeth, a long tail--Damned father DNA!) and all the characteristics of its species. He resembles a bit of a tailed goblin now, of course, he still lacks the classic turtle-like-shell on its back, it has not yet formed. The fun thing is his face, it's almost the exact same one from his previous life, well of course, that's his soul after all.
His mana is also weird, its the 'Human mana', if you look and 'feel' at the mana only, you would never guess he is non human. 'I could infiltrate in human cities like this'. Teehee.
Speaking of mana, 'magic' comes from mana, No mana, No magic. He saw the chief of village casting a buff spell, first she had to gather the mana in her hands and...do what she needed to cast a buff spell...chanting it is supposed.
The place he is born is pretty big, it's called, 'the big swamp', a simple swamp, but big. It's a place situated in the middle of two big human cities, or empires, or kingdoms, well, there's only a little informations about humans, the Big Swamp is full of clans, tribes, villages or sects, where it resides mainly only the demi-humans and heteromorphic races after all. The village where Lo resides is also actually pretty big, he mistaken it as a clan before, seeing only a part of it, actually, he was F*cking wrong about it, that's a pretty big village, one of the 'Nine Grand Communities', don't know what's that, but it sounds intimidating.
Finally, the topic of the year, the 'Turtle man race'. This race is not that common and although the name 'turtleman' sounds weak, that's the exact opposite. First thing first, members of this race can live a quarter of the elves lives, that is impressive, considered that elves are the fairies descendants. Second, thanks to the shell in their back, which is very hard, even harder than bones, they can 'SMASH!' the shell back to their opponents. Also, for being very large, the shells are very heavy too, that implies, knees, ankles, legs, the back, shoulders and torso has to be quite muscular for sustaining that shell. There are SO many variants of this race it can give a troll an headache, for example, Lo's father, that ugly, has not the typical turtle beak but it has a crocodile-like tail instead...Etc...There's also a theory behind all of this variants and sub-variants, and is that the 'turtleman' race is one of the ancestors of the true dragons, and it has its bloodline (Although very very very weakened) and this hypothesis was strengthened around 20 years ago, by the birth of a lizardman with wings, apparently that fellow was very lucky and inherited just the right amount of bloodline required to grow some wings...apparently. These are just suppositions.

(Note: It may sound an OP race, but of course not my dear readers, I didn't forgot to add the last part and I'm not writing it now, no no no.)
This race is not overpowerd, istead, they are quite the normality out there. While they can have a high defense, they are not suited for attacking, having small claws and fangs can help a bit, but that's it. They also have a pretty bad weak spot-The chest. The chest of a turtleman isn't that hard, and everything in the front is like a vulnerable spot that can't be guarded because the armor isn't suitated for the back of a turtleman, and thus, can't be weared. Also, turtlemen are pretty slow.
