This time, instead of staying still, David went full offence.
David cut and stole the straps of 3 different people in the first 20 seconds with his 2 Katana's, startling everyone.
As the Dean looked at this, his eyes shone.
"Hmm... If this kid combines his magic and his weapon skills, he would be unstoppable at his age!"
David continued prancing around and eliminating countless of students.
Some desperate students even started teaming up but they were all the same destroyed by David.
After some time, only two people remained in the arena.
David looked at the remaining person and his heart started thumping at a very fast speed.
The girl had red long hair and sea-blue eyes. She was slightly taller than David and had a gentle face yet at the same time, a face that yearned for battle. She clutched onto her rapier and took a battle stance.
"Umm... Hel-" before David could even finish speaking, the girl rushed forward and thrusted her rapier at David while sticking out her tongue and giving a cheeky smile.
Seeing her face so close to his, David tumbled back and his heart started palpitating wildly.
"David! David! What is wrong with you! Fight properly! Are you seriously tired already?" David who was not very sure of what he was feeling started to think it was because he was tired and scolded himself.
David took a deep breath and started calming himself down.
"Hiyaa!" The girl sprinted towards David and tried to cut off his strap.
"Not happening!" David shouted out as he used his katana to block the rapier.
However, the girl suddenly extended her hand and tried to reach for the strap to just pull it out.
"Sh*t" David exclaimed and jumped backwards, making him the loser of that exchange.
"Hehe! Not bad!" The girl said as she grinned.
As she was talking, David decided to take the offence and dashed towards her.
"Siu!" David swung his Katana at the strap, however, the girl jumped back quick enough, making his Katana just slice the air.
However, David continued in his pursuit and kept on dashing forward and dished out his unrelentless slashing.
The flustered girl could not help but cry out, "Hey! Hey! Hey! Calm down..."
When David's attack started slowing down, the girl suddenly said "Just kidding!" and thrusted her rapier towards David's strap.
"So predictable!" David said as he chuckled and jumped high into the air.
The girl hurriedly retreated and pouted.
When David saw her like that, his heart could not help but start thumping uncontrollably again.
The girl noticed this and decided to charge straight in.
She thrusted her rapier at David who in turn used one of his Katanas to deflect while using the other to reach for the strap.
After her attack was deflected, she dodged the incoming attacks and suddenly stuck her rapier unto the ground, held it tightly and fell down into a kind of lying position and swept David off of his feet.
To prevent himself from touching the ground, David hurriedly took both his Katana's and used it to push him upwards.
After David regained his footing, he immediately charged at the girl who just took her rapier out of the ground.
At this point the crowd was cheering non-stop at the incredible battle, even the Dean was engrossed in it as he had never before seen such a great battle being done by 10-year olds.
The Dean then looked at David and thought, "This boy... If he has a good innate ability and continues training, there is no doubt that he would reach the pinnacle of this world!"
"Huff... Huff... Huff..." The girl was panting non-stop which was a huge contrast to David who was merely breathing a little harder.
In a last-ditch effort, the girl decided to take the offence and sprinted towards David and thrust her rapier at him, however, David deflected her tired attack with ease.
The girl was fighting an uphill battle but she suddenly had an idea.
"Wow! You are so strong! I wouldn't mind dating you!" The girl said
"Wh... Wh... What! Really? But we are just 10 this year..." David, extremely flustered said while his whole face turned red and as he put his hand behind his head.
"Fiu!" David heard this sound and saw his strap flying high up into the air and getting stolen by a red-haired girl.
The girl once again stuck out her tongue and gave a cheeky smile and said, "Hehe! Sorry about that but I really want that treasure."
It was at that moment that David knew he had been duped.
"HAHAHAHAHA!" Everyone in the arena started laughing at the anti-climatic end of the battle.
"Hehehe..." David awkwardly rubbed his head as he laughed in embarrassment.
After everyone gathered back on the arena, the Dean said, "Hahaha... Okay now for the 3rd and final round, you can use everything at your disposal to fight, even your powers! There will be no straps, no nothing, our teachers will just step in when needed. It will start in..."
