Davis let Xerax go and activated the formation core as he repeated the same movements the rats made to mend the spatial tunnel. After a blinding light filled the spatial tunnel, he smiled at Xerax.

"Alright, it's your turn. I hope you make it to the other side, as I can't have you dying halfway through. After all, if I don't make you suffer, I will not be satisfied."

Xerax stood before the spatial vortex, his expression full of hesitation.

However, he knew if he didn't take a step forward, he would meet the same fate as Patriarch Killian Zenflame, tortured to death. Thinking of that kind of horrendous fate, he clenched his teeth and stepped forward.

He flew into the spatial vortex, causing his heart to pound heavily. Fortunately, he didn't seem to be rejected, but there was still the immense pressure in the tunnel that would quickly crush him. He gulped and took a step forward as though he was walking a path filled with swords and spears underneath.
