Capítulo 45: Questions
Rune shifted in front of me and without thinking I step back in shock. He sees it but only pauses a moment before reaching out to me. He stops short looking at his bloody hand and frowns. He pulls his hand back but I reach out and grab it asking "What happened? Are you hurt?" I start looking at him from head to toe but I couldn't tell.
His eyes soften but gently pulls his hand away. "It's not my blood and I don't want to dirty you. I will get cleaned up and explain things to you later okay?" I let him pull his hand away and nod. He gives me a small smile before walking away and joining the rest in a large room. I sigh but decide I'll take a look at the library while I wait.
I walk in and I'm blown away by the sheer size of the library. It has three... three levels! Each level containing hundreds if not thousands of books. How can I possibly find what I'm looking for? I start looking at the books on the ground floor and I'm surprised to find that most of the books are in different languages.. This was going to be harder than I originally thought I sigh loudly.
"Who's disturbing my library with all that noise?" A small short lady with a red round nose and a pair of thick glasses with a head of fluffy white hair says from behind me causing me to jump. "Oh! Uh.. sorry.." I say not knowing what to do. She raises her glasses and squints her little eyes checking me out. "Ah.. you're the lords woman. What can I help you with?"
Frowning I ask "Why do you say I'm his women?" She tisks at me and says "You carry his mark and his scent... what else would you be?" My eyebrows shoot up to my hair line before frowning again. I lift an arm up to my nose and sniff... I don't smell anything. This causes the small short lady to smirk saying "My name is Tweet... you may call me Mrs. Tweet."
Tweet?? I clear my throat and say "Hello Mrs. Tweet, My name is Syn and I'm here looking for a book that may help me understand more about the Fae world but there's so many books..." I say looking around. "Hmm... This way dear, I have the perfect book to start with. After you finish this book I have a few others that will help as well." Mrs. Tweet turns around and walks away.
I follow after her while looking around. Mrs. Tweet pulls an old book out and hands it to me. I look at the book and frown "I Can't read this.. do you have anything in English?" I ask with a small smile.
Mrs. Tweet lifts a white eyebrow and says "Just infuse your power with it dearie and you'll be fine." She then turns around and suddenly turns into a small white bird with a red beak! She flies up to the third floor and disappears. "I guess that explains the name.." I say softly with large eyes.
