His fleet was growing bigger and bigger. Ves felt as if he was in the process of accumulating every outcast or exile from the Komodo Star Sector!
So far, his forces consisted of outcast Larkinsons, Brighters who forsook their state to follow him to the Red Ocean, the members of the New Ylvaine Dynasty, the Battle Criers, the Black Cats and now the Penitent Sisters!
It had become increasingly more cumbersome to Ves to manage all of these disparate groups, especially since they were so distinctive and eccentric.
Fortunately, his decision to delegate most of the management to his deputy leaders has worked out so far. He no longer needed to pay any personal attention to the running of his individual groups.
The sudden addition of the Penitent Sisters didn't intimidate him once he got over their rabid anti-boy tendencies.
Many readers often wonder how long The Mech Touch will be before the story is complete.
It depends.
As an author, the length of The Mech Touch is fully within my control. There are no editors or any other people who decide the length of my novel.
The choice is fully within my hands.
The length of my novel is therefore dependent on my motivation. In turn, my motivation is dependent on what I discussed in the last author's notes.
My overall plan for The Mech Touch is fluid. If I want to, I can write this story in a way that it can last indefinitely. The story will be as long or short as I want. Reaching 5,000 chapters or even 10,000 chapters is very much within the realm of possibility!
I know that this does not conform to the standard of conventional storytelling, but I believe the same rules don't apply for webnovels. As long as readers keep supporting my novel by paying for my chapters, I will keep writing it, up to a certain point.
Regardless of how long my novel will last, I am committed to writing it to a satisfactionary end. As an author, I don't think it will do my reputation any good if I keep my story unfinished. Personally, this is a very important achievement for me as well!
