Chapter 224: Contemplating Questions and Observations
Arash returned to his own Soul Core to focus; they had to stay true to their goal of completing Bellflower Bridge.
Within his darkened Soul Core, he moved towards the edge, where the illusive bridge slowly became tangible at a snail's pace. The numerous multicolored particles were rapidly compressed and converted into blocks of bricks and were meticulously layered one by one. Arash recognized those particles as they resembled the ones he generated electronically from the Chant.
In other words, that's Hana's personal SPE.
To his bafflement, Arash had not contributed in any way; not even a single stray Origin SPE from his side was absorbed into the bridge. Everything was running under autopilot.
Arash noticed some differences this time.
The rate of Variant SPE movement was slower and somewhat tamer compared to the previous Reawakening session. It seemed that Hana had done her best to control how much SPE should be poured into the crack. In turn, the building blocks of a bridge quickly reached its fifty percent mark, with a manageable flow of extra SPE infused into Arash's nucleus.
This time, the Nucleus did not feel bloated but managed to process the ongoing influx of Soul Energy without being overly burdened.
"!!!"
When the first stray Soul Energy from beyond the bridge was successfully processed by the Nucleus after a few minutes, Arash was dumbfounded yet again! It produced four bluish Origin SPE instead of the usual three this time!
Hana improved again in the short span of a few weeks!
Unbelievable!
Time passed by uneventfully.
Since Arash couldn't see anything, he only focused on converting Hana's SPE to his own SPE. He noticed if he made a conscious observation on his 'nucleus', which was busy doing its job, it became almost doubly efficient! Once his sight and consciousness strayed away from the nucleus, Hana's SPE started to back up due to the lowered conversion rate.
One hour...
Two hours...
Three hours...
After a while, Arash inevitably felt dull. After all, he practically didn't do anything besides observing attentively to power up his Soul Core's consumption rate.
He started to retrack Hana's every word that he remembered and suddenly came to a sentence he hadn't analyzed yet. He was intrigued by his wife's remark on her own Soul Hall Domain or Soul Core, and how it was so 'lively', was it?
Previously, he was so baffled by Hana's way of using her SPE and had unintentionally neglected this statement.
What does lively mean?
He also remembered that when Hana dove into her Soul Hall Domain, she invited her pet along, specifically Shiro, the white fox who was always with her.
From this, it can only mean that every pet she owned must be able to access her Soul Hall Domain! From there, she nurtured them directly with the Soul-nourishing Chant just like how she nourished the Bellflower Bridge.
Arash took a mental note of this new finding and would compile them in recording or writing as soon as he resurfaced later. It could be the key to improving his own SPE quality in the future.
Additionally, Hana had successfully made him curious about what her Soul Hall Domain looked like and why he couldn't view it when he could view whatever she saw with her physical eyes.
Next, something he was extremely curious about.
Who took the pictures inside her phone?!

After exactly six hours.
Wet soil parted automatically, revealing Arash with his disturbingly shiny eyes!
Tok Silihan swore internally.
Everytime after Arash went through this laborious, death-inducing ceremony, he somehow looked invigorated! Tok Silihan wondered whether this boy got a few screws loose.
"Tok!"
Tok Silihan sighed wryly, "What is it?"
"I want to return to the village right now."
"Why? What happened?"
Tok Batin Silihan's confused eyes were as big as pingpong balls. It did look quite comical. Understandably, the sudden request did trip him since he imagined they would be nesting over the cultivation cave for a week or so.
"Trust me, Tok. I think I might have a clue how to use Spiritual Energy! I'm on the verge of getting enlightenment. I just need to discuss with my wife. I need internet, hahaha. So, let's get going... Please? I'll treat you to a cuppa later."
After six hours of constantly absorbing Variant SPE from Hana directly, Arash's Origin SPE has been fully replenished. In fact, the orbit was twice as concentrated with twice the range. That was how potent Hana's SPE was to Arash. Its disturbing effect undermined Arash's two-week worth of efforts to nil.
As such, the buff effect was automatically unleashed.
Tok Silihan didn't have a chance.

Silverbanded Eagle Territory
"Elder Perr, Elder Rakk, what are your current reports on the movement of the Monarchs?"
Lady the white Silverbanded She-eagle, as the proxy of the Serpent's Lair, reveled internally in her current position. She, who had been sidelined before, had now risen to be the leader of the Territory.
Beside her, the sweet little Pii lacked any kind of interest at all. Little Pii was too young to understand anything. However, his powerful energy waves washed over the mountains intermittently, reminding the other Nobles who were really in charge. Lady sincerely adored the little Goldbanded eaglet and mentored him in every waking moment, just as a teacher and a mother would to a doted son. Everything else, she cleverly delegated to the others.
However, she did put important emphasis on daily reports such as now. She had taken it upon herself to be the Mistress' eyes and ears to gather information about the forest besides controlling the Territory.
It meant that she had to always be up to date with the Monarches' movements at all times.
Elder Perr bowed slightly and straightened himself with a severe look, "There hasn't been any activity on our North side, thankfully. We have been able to hide the previous Lord's early demise for now, hence we're alright. Part of it was due to Lord Pii's Spiritual Waves."
"That's great, we still have time."
"Too early to say, Lady Missus. We could hear something from the East and North East. The waterfolk wasn't as calm as usual."
Lady scrunched her brow, "This is troublesome. Maybe, the Serpent Lair is expanding too quickly. News travels."
"Permission to talk, Lady Missus." Elder Rakk bowed.
Lady nodded curtly.
"My team had flown to the South. The World Tree Sanctuary is currently preparing itself. Rumors are, that the Southern Monarch is coming up north in a single moon's time the soonest, latest by two moons."
"!!!"
This was the worst kind of news to date. The Serpent's Lair was strong, but not strong enough to contend against the Eight Monarchs. Facing off with one would inevitably lead to facing off with all of them sooner or later. The Serpent's Lair didn't have the capacity or manpower for that even when combined with the Grey Rock Mountain, the World Tree Sanctuary, the Elemental Fiends, and the Waterwave Clan.
What they needed was time.
Time to grow uninterrupted.
I need to report this to Lord Brother Kuro and the Mistress!
