It didn't take them much time to get the town after leaving the forest, Azreal had expected it to have walls built around it but there weren't any there, no guards anywhere just warbeasts going and coming.
"Don't fall behind and hold your pockets" Xavious said while leading the way.
As they continued walking the vendor's and shop owners started calling out to them and the other warbeast that were walking through the streets.
"Hey my friend come and look at these lovely bracelets I have over in my shop"
"Ptui don't listen to him they're all worthless, you want to see true works of art and you come over to my shop"
As they called out they tried to grab onto them but they were unsuccessful, looking at how they were behaving now Azreal didn't see much difference between them and humans.
"Hey!"
When Azreal heard the shout he turned around and saw a figure escaping in the crowd and Nala was about to chase after but was subtly blocked by the incoming shop owners and vendors.
"What happened?" Xavious ran over to Nala.
"Someone just tried to rob me" Nala spoke while staring in the direction the figure ran off.
"Did they take anything?"
Nala shook her head.
"No, I realized before they got in"
When she said that Xavious didn't seem to care as much so he turned around and continued walking.
"This is why I said hold onto your pockets if you don't want to see your stuff up for sale in one of these shops"
After that incident Nala became a lot more vigilant, she no longer paid as much attention to wares that the shops and vendors had.
Luckily they weren't on the streets for very long before Xavious turned into a bar with a naked big breasted monkey with a sword as it's sign.
When they walked in no one paid attention to them aside from the old bartender who looked up at them when they entered but only for a second before turning back to what he was doing.
"Hey old man"
Xavious walked over to the bar and greeted with a smile.
Once again the bartender looked up at him with squinted eyes.
"I know you?"
Before Xavious answered he knocked on the counter a few times.
"Memory's starting to fade already?"
With a grunt, the old bartender uses his head to point at a door to the side.
"Just you"
Nala and Azreal had started walking behind Xavious as he headed for the door, when they heard the old bartender they stopped and Azreal nodded to Xavious indicating that he should go on.
Without saying anything else Nala and Azreal found a seat in the corner, when Nala took off her bag she held it really close.
"What do you have in the bag?" Not wanting to just sit in awkward silence with her Azreal tried to strike up a conversation.
"Armor and other stuff" Nala didn't look at Azreal, her attention was divided between her bag and the people in the bar.
This was her first time being in a situation like this so she automatically remained on high alert.
Azreal was thinking of taking her bag and tossing it in his space ring but decided to wait until Xavious came back to somehow make it look like he was the one with the space ring.
"Armor must be pretty big since the bag is so big"
Nala turned to look at him with one eyebrow raised.
Once she did that Azreal didn't say anything else just rested his face on his hand and retreated to his own mind.
"It's heavy armor"
When she spoke Azreal looked over at her he had on an incredibly faint smile.
"You can always just—"
Azreal was about to say something when the clanking of chains caught his attention.
Looking up at the source Azreal saw a little fox girl walking through the door with heavy chains all over her body, oddly she didn't look like she'd been put through hell, her clothes were raggedy but the girl herself looked fine as far as he could tell.
When the little girl walked in with the chains on her Nala clenched her fists while staring at the people who walked in behind her with a murderous glare.
Before she did anything stupid Azreal used his elbow to nudge her when he did that the murderous glare disappeared but she was clearly still angry.
Azreal didn't say anything, after all with the history of her pack her anger was understandable.
Five warbeast covered from head to toe—their appearance completely hidden— stood behind the chained up little fox girl.
"So everybody this is the last one, if you're interested say it now" as one of the warbeast spoke he patted the little fox on her head like a loving uncle would do.
"Once you buy her she's yours for life" when he said that he spun the little fox girl around and ripped the back of her dress to show a marking on her back.
Azreal had no idea what it meant but judging by how angry Nala was getting it must to be something horrible.
"So how bout it? Five hundred of the mothers gold isn't too expensive is it?"
Few of the warbeast in the bar nodded while others shook their heads and looked away, while a small minority look on with lust.
"I'll take her" a young warbeast spoke as took a sash shell from his side.
A few other warbeast in the room spoke up right after, things were slowly turning into a bidding war.
The entire time all of this was happening the little fox's facial expression didn't change for a second.
It was around this time that Xavious came back with a map rolled up in his hand.
"What's going on?" he asked as he took a seat.
"Auction" Azreal responded simply.
