Capítulo 55: Doppelganger (1)
At the other side of the gate, all of the examinees who passed has unknowingly arrived at an unknown space, alone, without any other examinee or teacher in sight while they wait at their respective locations.
Yin Yu was also sent to an unknown space as soon as he enters the gate and the place he arrived to is dark, cold, full of aura of death and it has been raining since he came and what makes him surprised about this place is the fact that all the snow and ice on the lake didn't even melt no matter how much rain poured at them.
Most other examinees also reach the space which is similar to him, some of them become happy and start absorbing the surrounding qi, while some of them become panicked and start crying saying that they want to go home.
Yin Yu who arrives at this places didn't seem afraid at all, in fact, he's pretty happy about it as he can feel that this place is full of Yin energy! Which was why he decide to start absorbing the qi inside this place ever since he enters this space!.
Those with water affinity arrive at a place full of water, a dual affinity of fire and darkness arrive at a space full of Blackfire, a dual affinity of metal and thunder arrive at a magnetic field and so on.
All of the examinees enter different space dictated by their affinity and those who can adapt start to absorb the qi, while those who can't adapt start to scream that it's too hot for those with fire affinity, scream that it's too cold for those with wind affinity, and so on.
Yin Yu absorb the surrounding Yin qi, and he presumes that if he absorbs qi at this place for ten minutes, he'll be able to breakthrough easily to the 5th stage of Qi Condensation. Even so, looking at the stranger which immediately appear at this location, Yin Yu can't help but sigh while he looks at the stranger.
The stranger can't truly be said a stranger as he always saw this stranger on a daily basis, to be more exact, the stranger which arrive at this place is him. Yes, it's him or to be more exact, it's his doppelganger as the stranger look exactly like him.
The doppelganger who just appear out of nowhere suddenly attack Yin Yu with his fist and Yin Yu who saw his action starts to frown and summon his chain-sickle from his storage ring and command his chain to bind which make his chain move to bind the doppelganger without any effort which makes the doppelganger filled with hole because his skin was pressed against the chain spike.
Looking at his emotionless doppelganger who didn't even let out a scream or feel any pain make Yin Yu start to frown a little and without any mercy commands his chain to start vibrating which make the spike around the chain to move and quickly slice the doppelganger body into pieces.
"Too weak! You're too weak! How dare you use my face when you're just a weakling!"
Yin Yu frown looking at the weak doppelganger, but without further ado, two similar doppelgangers show up out of nowhere holding the same chain-sickle as Yin Yu and start attacking Yin Yu with their chain.
Yin Yu who saw how his doppelganger use the chain-sickle can only frown as their technique are truly too crude for his eyes as he immediately thrown his weight to one of the doppelgangers while slicing the other doppelganger as fast as he can, while the two doppelgangers throw their chain to Yin Yu which is easily dodged by him and Yin Yu kill them without any suspend.
Even so, four more similar doppelgangers appear, and this time there's two who throw his chain to Yin Yu and two who directly charge at him which makes Yin Yu frown becomes deeper and deeper as he watches them.
"All of you! No matter how many of you appear, I Yin Yu, the King of Catastrophe will teach you how to write the word 'Catastrophe' and show you the real way to use a Chain-Sickle!"

The same situation happens in other space where other examinees were attacked by their doppelgangers, and there's even one unlucky examinee who got attacked without him knowing anything and send out of the space and immediately appear in front of the school gate which also has a meaning which says 'you've failed'.
Most of the examinee who's eliminated early are those who hesitate to fight themselves, those who hesitate to kill, those who didn't try to adapt, or those who live their whole life on a greenhouse.
The doppelganger they fight may be the same to them in terms of appearance, but those who fight them will know that although they have the same cultivation realm, the doppelgangers are unable to use it's full power while the examinee can use their full power.
But, after fighting the doppelganger for some time, they will realize that the doppelganger learning ability is so terrifying, as they can learn every technique used by the examinees!.
That ability isn't so scary at first as they can't really learn anything with one or two tries, but the ability of those doppelgangers improve tremendously after a lot of doppelgangers use the same technique.
It can be seen from how the doppelganger only uses fist before, but after the examinee uses a weapon, they will also start to use that weapon, and after the examinee uses a qi technique, they'll also use that qi technique which let them become stronger every time the examinee use a technique.
Although the technique they use at first was crude, they can keep raking in proficiency while they fight the examinee and soon, even the technique used by doppelgangers becomes scarier than the technique used by the examinees.
Their ability to improve is so scary that a lot of examinees got defeated in their respective location where their doppelgangers mob them and transfer them out from their individual space.
Lots of examinees got defeated by their doppelgangers but not all of them fail as only those who didn't reach the required kill count will be transferred out from the test site outside the gate, while those who have reached the required kill count was transferred to a snow mountain and start to recuperate themselves from their injuries.
