"We scanned the whole planet and were able to find 99 Gates, all of them were marked on the map." One of the officers said.
"Let's start then. Aim the cannons and shoot without orders." Rick said.
The room became busy, everyone there was twenty canons on this ship, and other ships encircled the planet. And two minutes later all of them opened fire upon the planet's surface.
"Target 21, destruction confirmand."
"Target 34, destruction confirmand."
"Target 53, destruction confirmand."
"Target 57, destruction… unsuccessful."
Rick frowned. "Continue shooting down other targets, give me visuals on the target 57." The screen in front of him changed, and a camp covered in dust appeared on it. Above it, a demon was floating, looking around, trying to find the source of the attack that almost destroyed the camp.
"Take a picture of his face. Send it down to Marcus and Mei. Also, aim the railgun towards that target 57." Rick ordered.
When Marcus saw the picture of the Demon King, he was surprised and happy. They knew his location, and this means that they can kill him. He immediately contacted Rick and told him to shoot that place with the railgun. And hearing that it was already aimed, he said to fire.
But they need to sure, so he took Mei and gathered all the leaders, to come with them. And sitting on the sword, flying at high speed. In a few hours approached the place that the railgun hit. The huge crater, and in the middle of it, on a pillar, a camp with a gate was standing. The demons inside were moving around busily, and in the middle of it, was the demon king, starting at them.
He flew up slowly and approached them, his face was distorted from anger. Blood was trickling from his fingertips, and as it fell, it turned into bloody mist under his feet. "Humans, you surprised me. Even after I killed so many of you, you found a way to destroy my army and the gates. BUT this is not the end… I won't let you trample over my people again. I WILL KILL YOU even if it cost my life."
He went crazy. Losing, when being so close to victory… Now he is a rabbit that was chased into a corner, and he will bite until he drops dead. But right now, humans of this world had only one city left; they will need a long time to repopulate and build their army. While the demon world is still full of demons. If he kills them here and now, the chances are that humans will cease to exist soon.
At least that is what he thinks. The help Marcus and Mei brought, is not something that the demon king can imagine.
Demon king took his blade, and covered it in the blood mist, behind him wings of blood formed.
"Agh…"
The Demon King looked down and saw a blade, sticking out of his chest. He swiped with his wings to move hit the enemy, but there was no one behind him. Taking the blade out of his chest, he felt a sharp pain in his abdomen.
When Marcus saw the blade piercing through the demon king, he didn't waste any time and took out Jörmungandr. And as he turned around, he threw Jörmungandr at him piercing his stomach. "Kill him," Marcus said.
Everyone moved towards the demon king and started to attack him. They didn't wait for the demon king to react and used their strongest abilities.
The demon king could only lament as he was being ripped apart. One or two more days and he would breakthrough, but the world didn't want him to succeed. Looking around he saw humans; their faces were cold and ruthless. They continued to attack him, but in his state, he could only defend. Or at least try to defend, as his body was slowly torn to bits.
In the middle of it space not far away started to move, and a figure of a young man, with small horns on his head, appeared. He was the one to stab the demon king in the back, giving the humans a chance to attack and kill the demon king. He wanted to do it himself, but who knows when a chance like this will appear again. He had to take it.
Now with the demon king out of the picture, the demon world was his. He disappeared again and reappeared in front of the Gate. Looking back, the demon king was already in pieces, and the humans stood around his body. Except one of them, he was looking at him. He could recognize him; it was the human that defeated him years ago.
With a smile, he walked through the portal, and after walking out, he left the perimeter of the gate. Soon he could hear the explosion behind him. The gate was destroyed. The last one that was leading to the human world.
Marcus saw the demon that made the first attack on the demon king and immediately recognized him, but he was already at the gate, leaving. He wouldn't be able to catch him even if he wanted to, gathering some energy in his palm; he shoots it at the gate. The explosion took the camp that barely survived the previous attack.
They won, barely and with some help, but won.
After that, people slowly regained their peace. A stable connection was established with the planet Gaia dimension, and a small colony was established on the planet surface. The two dimensions started to cooperate as more and more people from both dimensions began to cooperate. Their future was bright and Marcus and Mei became a bridge between the two.
Years later both Marcus and Mei suddenly disappeared, and never showed in any of the worlds, and only a legend of the lighting god and a fire goodness remained after them.

So. This is the end of this.
In all honesty, I enjoyed writing this novel. But since I'm a complete amateur, this novel turned into a mess. I didn't have enough experience or skill, but I did my best. I will think of this novel as a practice since I learned many lessons during the short time I was writing this.
This is the end of this novel but not the end of my writing. I will continue to write and learn, and maybe the next time the result will be better than this.
This Saturday I will be going to Poland, to visit my family and rest a bit. So for now, I will release one chapter of my New novel (but this time I put much more thought into it). Check it out, if you feel like it. It's called Project: Transmigration, and for more info go check the first chapter out.
