"Are you feeling alright Johnson?"
"..."
"Professor Johnson!"
"... It fits, what he said fits the data we collected." Professor Johnson said, his gaze was running and body trembling. He was mumbling something under his nose.
"Professor Johnson… don't tell me you believe his story. It did sound as if he believed it, but we know that it is false. It can't be true." Admiral kong wasn't sure how much that Marcus told him was true, but he can definitely find something useful if he keeps him talking.
"I don't know if his story is real or not… BUT the part about the space vortex was REAL! It fits the data we got! I will have to run some calculations that will give you a hundred percent confirmation."
"Wait, you are saying that he is from another dimension?" Looking at Professor Johnson, walking in circles, with a grin on his face, made Admiral Kong doubt his sanity.
"Yes! And if he knows how to build a dimensional gate not only will it allow us to travel between dimension, but it will help us develop many technologies that were previously impossible! Bending space, warp drives, pocket dimensions, the possibilities are countless!."
"If you can give me a hundred percent confirmation that he is from another dimension I will report this to the council. You said the calculations would take a few hours to finish, so you should start as soon as possible."
During Professor Johnson's monolog, the one thing that got Admiral Kong's attention were two words, 'Warp Drive'. Something that they are trying to develop for years, and if Marcus can help make it… the cold war with the Der Planet would end. And they would win it. He was sure that Marcus's story was a lie, but if there is even a small amount of information that they can use, it will be worth playing along.
A crazy idea formed in the mind of Professor Johnson. "A proof… why not ask Marus? He maybe can give us one. And we will know how much of his story is real."
"What do you suggest?" Asked Admiral Kong with curiosity.
"Ughh… it will be better if I show you." Walking back into the room, he looked back at Admiral Kong. "Can you uncuff him?"
With doubt in his eyes, Admiral Kong looked at Professor Johnson. He wasn't sure what to do. He read his file, and after only reading two first pages it was apparent that he was a genius. His contribution to the UN was immense, and in the past few years, his help in the research of the ION cannons helped keep the balance of the cold war with the Der planet.
"... I will trust you this one time." And with a swipe on his phone, he unlocked Marcus's handcuffs.
"Marcus you said that you came from another dimension. But can you prove it?" Professor Johnson was hoping that he is right, that if Marcus is from another dimension, it is possible that the world there works differently and that what he said is possible.
Rubbing his wrists, Marcus looked at Professor Johnson."Prove it? Ughh… How though?"
"Do you have something that doesn't exist here, or do something that no one in this dimension can?" Johnson wasn't giving up; he is sure that there must be something.
"Well, since there is no Qi in the air the chances that someone is cultivating or practicing something else are small, so maybe I can show you this. And if that is not enough, I can show you a storage ring." as he was talking he raised his hand and lightning started to dance between his fingers.
"What the…" Admiral Kong started to walk back from shock, and as he bumped into the wall, he looked at Marcus's hand. He saw electricity jump in between his fingers. It was impossible, yet he saw it with his own two eyes!
"Amazing!" Opposite to Admiral Kong, Professor Johnson was laughing! He was right, different rules must govern the dimension that Marcus is from, their bodies are so slightly different, and it allowed them to acquire this power!
"Is that enough of a proof?"
"Yes, it is more than enough! Now tell me about the gate. How does it work? And how do you make it?"
"Professor Johnson, we need to go now!" Grabbing Professor Johnson, he pulled him out of the room. What he just saw was… impossible, at least it should be impossible. This changes everything. Now he can't decide on what to do; he needs to report this to the council.
What Marcus… did, doesn't mean that he was telling the truth, there are still many questions, but with the information, he has he cannot make a decision. Professor Johnson basically confirmed that he is from another dimension, so he can't decide to eliminate them now. Who knows what is hidden in that dimension and if it will come for revenge. There are too many unknowns.
"You two! Put him back into a cell." Ordering the two soldiers that escorted Marcus here, he took Professor Johnson towards the bridge. "Professor Johnson, do you have to go back to Atlas to make those calculations?"
"No, I can send the relevant data to my assistant, and she can start the calculations. But what are you doing Admiral Kong?"
"We are going to make a report to the council now. You will have to say what you told me and when the calculations are finished make your assistant send them immediately to us."
"To the council? Can it wait, I still have many q… Right… report about Marcus. Are you sure? Is it not better to wait until we have more information? From the very beginning, they both stayed cooperative, and it doesn't look like they have any ill intent towards us."
"That's not for us to decide."
Twenty minutes later he was standing in front of five holographic images of the council members. Giving his report, with Professor Johnson beside him, he saw the council members frown.
