Peng Hu started to panic. His heart and mind were not ready to see something entirely different than what he was expecting. The situation took a turn for the worse. Peng Hu could see that the young woman was faintly breathing and that her moan must have come from her trying to yell for help. Observing Yuvan lying motionless near her, there was a slim chance that he could still be alive.
Unconsciously, Peng Hu started to rely on his memories about the old world to look for help.
"Am-ambulance! Someone call the ambulance! Police! Police!"
"What are you talking about Pen!?"
"What are you doing standing there Kai!? Hurry up and call an ambulance!"
"What is an ambulance!?"
Kai started to panic too because Peng Hu wasn't making any sense with what he was saying. Being the first time he had encountered such situation in real life, he had read in the books Aunty Alis gave him that human could die from a huge loss of anything. Whether those losses could be blood, water, limbs, or organs. Kai also wasn't prepared for something like this to happen with his first hang out date with Peng Hu.
Peng Hu snapped out from his disturbed mental state. Digesting everything he had just said, there was no way that Kai could understand what he said became Kai didn't know about them.
[Think Peng Hu... Think! What would be the equivalent of an ambulance and police here in this new world!? For an ambulance... it could be... a physician! And for a police... it could be a warrior!]
"Kai, go fetch a physician and a warrior from the village! Go! Quickly!"
"Ok! Be right back! Be careful and don't do anything stupid Pen!"
Kai ran off in search of a physician and a warrior. Looking at the disappearing back of Kai, Peng Hu could feel his heart ache a little bit because Kai just called him 'stupid'.
Looking back at the situation at hand, Peng Hu decided to do everything he could at the moment. Drawing closer to the young woman and kneeling, Peng Hu decided to comfort her and encourage her to hang in there because help was on the way.
"Hang in there! We have called for help!"
"Ah... ugh..."
The young woman couldn't articulate any words. Her injury in the throat was very serious that it was almost impossible for her to make any sound. If anything, she should have died long ago due to her sever injuries.
"Don't say any more. Save your energy and focus on staying alive."
There was nothing else the young woman could do than slowly nodding with great difficulty. Peng Hu then stood up and went to Yuvan's side. There was no visible injury on Yuvan, but there were a lot of trace in Yuvan's clothing that could tell Yuvan was fighting against someone. Observing closely, there was a high probability that there was magic involved during the fight.
Peng Hu took his ear and placed it in Yuvan's body where the heartbeat could be heard. It was very difficult, but a faint sound could be heard. Peng Hu sighed of relief and then composed himself. Although the two injured persons were still alive, they needed medical attention as swift as possible.
[Whew! At least no one is dead yet. This is good.]
The same way Peng Hu comforted the young woman, Peng Hu also felt the need to make Yuvan be sure that everything would be okay.
"Mr. Yuvan, please hang tightly in there! Help is on the way."
Standing up, Peng Hu felt that he did everything he could do at this moment. Peng Hu couldn't provide first aid treatment to them because he lacked the knowledge and it was possible that he could mess things up. Looking around, Peng Hu decided to find for clues that could reveal the story behind the scene.
There were no traces of fight in the tables and chairs in front of the food stall. Behind the counter, besides the two injured people, there was nothing out of ordinary. It was very possible that the perpetrator cleaned up the place after they left.
Peng Hu was about to resign from investigating when he saw something very peculiar at a corner of the food stall. Peng Hu picked up the item and saw that it was a red stone with the shape of a small fire. Underneath the stone, where a flat base could be found, Peng Hu noticed that there was an initial engraved in it.
[B.? Who could be B.? Is is the name of the owner of this rock or is it just a random letter engraved into the rock? Additionally... this rock have the shape of a red flame... Is it possible that the spy from the Red Ember Kingdom attacked? And if they attacked, what could be the reason behind it?]
There was a clue now. Maybe there was another one laying around, thought Peng Hu. And effectively, there was a foreign dagger mixed in with the kitchen utensils of the food stall. The dagger had traces of someone cleaning it recently. At the contrary of the red stone, there were no initials engraved into the dagger.
[Hm... this dagger must also be a clue about what happened here...]
Voices could be heard in the distance. Listening attentively, Peng Hu could deduce that Kai already came back with help in his heels.
"Pen... I have come back with help!"
"Great!"
Looking behind Kai, Peng Hu could see two distinct figures: Biggs and another stranger. Biggs came as representation of the warriors, while the stranger seemed to be a physician. It could be seen at Biggs' expression that he wasn't very happy about Kai calling him out, while the other stranger was somewhat curious to what made Kai very agitated. Behind these two, there were a lot of villagers on their tow, curious as to what happened.
When both Biggs and stranger saw the scene, they were shocked.
"What... what happened here!?" - asked Biggs.
"Please prepare sterilized water!" - said the stranger.
It was after a few moments later that Peng Hu learnt the name of the physician from Kai. The physician's name was Borik.

"Ms. Alis... we have found two heavily injured honest villagers in Yuvan's stall. One of them is Yuvan. The other person is Julia." - said one of the guards of the Chief.
"Understood. You can go back to your post."
"Yes, m'lady!"
The guard left the Two Words Hall. Inside of it, Ms. Alis was sighing from pain, while the old woman was thinking deeply.
"Things are going to get rough from now on..."
