Capítulo 280: 280. Anathema

Lance heard a man sobbing, while mumbling something in a language he didn't recognize. It sounded like a mantra or prayer. 

When he opened his eyes, it was pitch dark. He couldn't see a thing. His head hurt, and when he moved his body a bit, he heard a clinking.

The sound echoed and interrupted the sobbing man, now dunking everything in jarring silence. 

Lance didn't mind and put a hand on the ground; there were big, cold tiles. Moving his hand to his feet, he could feel two iron chains shaking both of his feet,

"Heh..." Lance chuckled and grabbed the chain, groping it to the end that was embedded in the floor. The chain was long, so he should have a wide radius to move. He was now leaning against something that felt like a stone pillar.

The man, who had been silent the whole time, was now saying something in a foreign language, the tone going up at the end of his sentence; it was most likely a question.
