Jace was at first following the grownups before leaving for the bar that was decorated like the rest of the venue; full of gold and glitter, everything sparkled in one's face until one's eyes wanted to vomit.

His eyes flitted repeatedly to Paige and Meier, who were going around before finally sitting down.

When a girl took a seat beside him, he didn't even register it until she spoke.

"We have a match on the dating site; now we meet coincidentally. Is this the famous destiny everyone is talking about?"

Jace turned his head, seeing a tall, blonde, beautiful woman ordering a scotch. Jace didn't really remember her, as he had liked everyone who looked the opposite of Paige on the mentioned site. It was really a coincidence to meet her here. 

She wore a black suit, looking smart and savage.

"If a beautiful woman calls something destiny, how ought a man to ever object?" Jace pushed his glasses up.
