Capítulo 100: 100. M-City

"I did what?" Paige asked, and Lance chuckled while thinking of what Jace had warned him of before.

He didn't answer, and she was dragged into a high-end car. 

"What about Natasha?" Paige asked while Lance put the safety belt around her.

He stilled and looked into her eyes- he was too close.

"I... she should be locked in the hotel room..." She stammered.

Lance backed up and said, 

"That's already settled."

"Okay..." It was really unsettling to talk with grown-up Lance. She felt they couldn't be as buddy-buddy as they were years ago. There was a strange tension she didn't like. 

Besides, it was clear that very much happened, but he casually answered a few things without going into detail. 

Shouldn't they go to the vault and make an emergency plan?

Jace sat in the front with the driver, who was already driving.

Paige didn't recognize this big, bustling city.

"Where are we?" She asked.
