Sunroot tells the story of a young man caught between the light of his father’s legacy and the darkness that has overtaken his former friends. Set in a vibrant and whimsical dark fantasy world brimming with extraordinary creatures and powerful forces, the story follows Orin, a boy born with a deep connection to nature, drawing strength from the sun and commanding the growth of plants. At a young age, Orin was kidnapped by a sinister organization known as The Veil, a secretive force that abducts children with unique powers and molds them into weapons for its own mysterious purposes. Orin’s father, Lucian, a legendary hero revered for his heroism and power, has spent years searching for his son, liberating countless children from the clutches of The Veil. But the damage wrought by the organization runs deep—many of the children, once freed, have become corrupted by the horrors they endured. They now roam the world, causing chaos and destruction, without the control that The Veil had once forced upon them. When Lucian finally reunites with Orin, it is clear that his son is no longer the innocent child he remembers. Orin, now a young man, has endured unimaginable trials and witnessed the fall of his friends into darkness. During a trip to Mexico with my friends, we ended up getting caught in a ritual ending up with me being born in another world. Embraced by the mother tree, I was reborn an elf. In a world where magic was ever more present, and technology oh so lacking, I found myself anew. Taking advantage of the benefits I received during the rebirth, I decided to do the most with my life and help protect the elven race from monster, incursions of evil and political intrigue of man. Follow the adventures, of a man turned elf, as he learns to better wield his powers and use his knowledge to best use magic. ---- This is a mostly temporary synopsis of the story, I'm not really good at writing them. But for better understanding, the story would basically follow the life of an elf in a medieval fantasy world, starting from birth to his older age as he grows. There will be kingdom building, but it may not be the mc whos in the very lead, read to find out if he is. -

Sora is a 25-year-old female hikikomori and a hardcore otaku who spend a decade in her room with the accompany of her devices. She is uneducated and jobless however she is unexpectedly a pro and highly talented in the world of technology where she sometimes uses this skill to help people online and get rid of scammers for free, without exposing her identity. Due to jealousy of certain IT users who was obsessed with her talent, Sora was framed into stealing and selling private data which was owned by the most powerful Yakuza in Japan, Kuroibararyu-gumi. Aside from that, she was also accused of murdering one of the members. She was captured by the Yakuza for her trials. She met the leader, Hijiri, before the trial for her to pay her misdeed. Hijiri is cruel and brutal as he holds onto the Kuroibararyu-gumi code severely. Sora's trial was to be beheaded by Hijiri in front of her parents and the whole clan, but her last word changed Hijiri's mind that he decided to hire her as his software engineer.
