Her name is Joytrice Orquiza, or simply Joy, the only daughter of the Orquiza family, a branch of the Nurse Joy tradition. According to this tradition, when a girl in the family turns ten, she begins training to become a Pokémon Nurse, caring for and healing Pokémon after completing her training and starting to work in Pokémon Centers. On that particular day, Joy wanted to escape her fate. So, with her partner Chansey, she took a flight to the Kanto region to start her own journey. Joy didn't want to become a Pokémon Nurse; she wanted to battle rather than stay in a Pokémon Center healing Pokémon. She aspired to be a Pokémon Master. She didn't want to be known solely as Nurse Joy from a Pokémon Center; she wanted to be known as Joytrice, the Pokémon Master! As her journey continues, she meets new friends, enemies, and Pokémon! -
