The New Republic faces a new threat, The Path of the Open Hand, a cult, is causing turmoil in the Senate. Senator Kaydel Ko Connix, former Resistance fighter, becomes the target of an assassination attempt. Assigned to protect her, Jedi Knight Finn and his Padawan, Link Na'tina, are drawn into the conflict. As Finn and Link fend off the threat, Jedi Masters Rey Skywalker, and Ben Solo, investigate the source of the assassination plot.

The Resistance, led by General Leia Organa, is dwindling after years of fighting the First Order. Rey, the last hope of the Jedi, continues her training under Leia's guidance but faces inner conflict. The dark forces grow stronger when the Sith Eternal, Abeloth, returns from the shadows, revealing herself as the mastermind behind the First Order. Abeloth offers Kylo Ren control over a vast fleet to finally crush the Resistance, but Kylo’s loyalty wavers as he senses a connection with Rey. Determined not to go down a dark path, Rey seeks to destroy Abeloth and bring balance to the Force. In a climactic battle on the Sith planet, Exegol, Rey confronts Abeloth.
