Hello, Edgar Bennet here. The Metamorphosis of Lou Ben is a vastly different story than you might expect. Think of how villains are cold hearted and calculative. In this book I wanted to explore the themes and human interactions that could lead to such a character. I was heavily inspired by ‘Reverand Insanity’ and wanted to write a story about how the character as such as Fang Yuan would come to be. The result is Lou Ben and his big heart slowly unraveling and turning dark as he experiences the peaks of happiness, love, brotherly affection, belonging, and ambition, and watches as he looses it all in a fight against the heavens! Enjoy the rollercoaster of emotions and smiles I wrote along the way. Sincerely, Edgar Bennet
Hello, Edgar Bennet here to leave a quick remark! This story is vastly different compared to my first book on WN, The Metamorphosis of Lou Ben. This story is quirky, comdeic, and strange. If I can compare it, it would be as if Geralt from Witcher was transmigrated to swallow world energy, but that is only the surface! You hear his thoughts and compare it to the face he portrays to the public and follow his journey as the story unravels in front of him! Give it a read, and don’t forget to provide support! Thank you, Edgar Bennet
In regards to the tags of the book, I didn’t include romance or much of others because they are not focus points. If the MC has a romance arc it’s short lived and has a point in the grand story.
There is romance, to a degree. I focused the character experiences and the loss of experience to highlight character devoplement. There is already a chapter wherein he experiences the first of many (not to spoil or get direct as it’s already published). The story will try to focus on the highest intensity of gains and loss, that’s the challenge I want to pursue, while the story aspect is focused on how this character continues to live life with ambition after such intense highs and lows.
None, the first chapter is set to establish the motivations of Lou Ben. If there is romance it will only be to further develop the character into someone who has experienced life, experienced loss, and finally has become devoted to their own vague ambition.
Gonna retract my initial statement about romance. Looking at the character development I think having a main fl that can be the reference point of the mc and his changes will make for a great element for realism.
