I think you should have gone in depth on how the North, Dorne and Reach could defy Jaehaerys. Like they could have summoned their Beast Guardians and confronted Jaehaerys that if he does not rescind his decree they will nullify the alliance. The atory lacked some climatic plot points. Also is Maegor still alive and did he have children?

Well to be fair Rhaenyra grew up as an only child and know a handful of dragon riders. So meeting another Dragon Lord that has a higher ranking than her family back in Old Valyria wluld have heightend her curiosity
