The ability to manipulate magic and spellcasting is what differentiates wizards from muggles.
Yupp. Albert is a squib (or a muggle.) It depends on how you look at it (He has one magical parent and one muggle parent and didn't inherit the gift of magic unlike Niklaus.) Non-magical folk can use magic but they can't manipulate it like wizards. So they can use potions, runes, rituals and alchemy. Any piece of magic that doesn't require spell casting and the manipulation of magic is usable by muggles and squibs alike.
The idea seems too good to just ignore. All the butterfly effect that comes in the fic will be a result of Niklaus' actions only. No major changes to canon itself.
Harry as most of you would have already noticed is different from his canon counterpart. That is also merely a consequence of the actions taken by Niklaus. I am not going to go into too much detail but the idea of a Hogwarts hat-style companion for Harry is something I have always found appealing. Niklaus gifting Robert to Harry as a soft apology for not helping him with his abusive relatives seemed like a good idea to me.

Robert Baratheon is an artificial sapience within the signet ring that Harry wears. He is like the Hogwarts hat. Niklaus created it as a companion to guide Harry. The ring was a hidden apology from Niklaus to Harry for not getting involved with the Dursleys.

Mate, he was using the most powerful shielding magic he had available. Of course.
Nathan grunted, it made sense, a child could harm themselves greatly if they used magic without supervision, so the request was not at all wrong, but he wanted to get the basic charms done so that he could work with the spell he had created as fast as possible.

He is. But even good people can contemplate doing bad things. Doesn't mean he will do it.
'Since I don't think I can get away with killing Potter and saying he was a Horcrux which would make me the enemy of both Voldemort and Wizarding Britain. I can't do anything other than wait for Tom to hit the boy with an AK to the face so that I or Dumbles can finish the psychopath.'

Against the average wizard that can't sense magic? Definitely. Against someone who has basic magic sensitivity? They will feel Nathan's movement and arrival.
He had not exposed anything other than a massive talent for duelling and spellwork which might raise some eyebrows but it still was not enough to set off any alarms.

The majority of people not agreeing with an idea does not make it backward. A large majority of people believed that the germ theory was false.
Nathan thanked Albus Dumbledore in his mind for his strict no-hitting or no-magical punishment policy. A policy that was actually very unpopular among most of the parents, whether they be magical or non-magical. Nathan could hardly care about their backward opinions and he was positive that if Dumbledore had not put the policy in place, then a staff like Snape or Filch would have definitely tried to hit him eventually, especially in his later years at Hogwarts, and would come to regret their decision dearly.

Imagine it this way. Apparition= I want to get there immediately. Flash step= I want to cover this large distance in a single step. Flash step is slower to execute than apparition and it requires clear line of sight to work.
I have edited the chapter. Please check it out and tell me if the change is fine?
