You're half right. The story ended up like this for 2 reasons.For 1, I was originally planning on dropping the story at 20 chapters when I realized how long 16-17 years would've been to protray. So when I saw Oshi No Ko, it gave me a good window to just timeskip unimpeded. I took it. The second reason was because I ended up scrapping three chapters that would've built of Leo's relationship with not only Ai but Makima as well. I'm currently working on drafts, but my main focus is on the main chapters that are coming out.Sorry for the sudden jump in the story, I'll try to keep it coherent as it goes on.
Initially, it was just me referring to the MC and the devil as they/their, etc, I ended up getting carried away and using it for the rest of the chapter.
While lost in thought, Leo almost missed the blatant yellow taxi parked by the side of the street, with the word "TAXI" boldly written on its side. Thanks to the ⬜⬜⬜ Devil's intervention, Leo noticed it just in time and approached the vehicle with a relieved smile, knocking on the window to grab the driver's attention
