It makes sense. If you have read comics then you would know that when suffering life-threatening injuries he spins himself into a cocoon with his webbing, which would rapidly heal him from even near-death conditions in rapid speed. This also allowed Spider-Man to shed his skin and revitalize himself, just as spiders do once in their own lifetimes. But don't forget he also too those serums, so, the time skip makes sense. Just my opinion though.

Why do I feel that this arrogant MC is going to fall very hard soon? That would be a nice character development.
