Yes, and no certain types of magic do take things from you, but it’s mostly caused by going over your limits and using either forbidden spells or trying to warp the universe too much and as a result, causing backlash
To be honest, it's the first time I've ever been afraid to ask a question, and almost in a childlike curiosity, I'm curious as to why he just doesn't use his libromancy to get rid of the cancer. But then I remind myself how hard it is to use basic reinforcement, and even with backwards magic, he must have to apply his knowledge to some things, and maybe cancer is just something too complex for his level of power.

Yep, that’s the problem but time is a strange thing. It doesn’t flow linearly every event that exists within the timeline is essentially in a stage of quantum super positioning where it happened but also hasn’t happened yet.

Doesn’t matter because as soon as someone tries to change the timeline that timeline that has changed becomes an alternate reality thanks to the Barry no perk. It’s why he hasn’t had to deal with any speedsters also, considering this is the young justice universe. The speed force technically doesn’t exist so the only time travelers he has to worry about are those that gain access to the new God technology
