i also think it would be easier if you focused on one at a time, outside what you've already written, it'll also give more focus on the individual story. just continue as you've done so far and remember to let him know what you've said he knows and not giving him info he haven't gotten access to. And most importantly, it's your story you choose where to take it and we just comes with our suggestions (some you choose whether to follow) and "see" the events unfold.
please don't stop the novel, reading it is one of the things i look most forward to every day. Just continue your work in your own pace and bring us more of these fantastic chapters.
can you please write either as if he knows the original story because he read it or write when have read too and not giving him any of the information later revealed too keep it consistent. ps. you're doing a fantastic job with the fanfic and is looking forward to the continuation.
