For me about the spirit realm, you can time skip some trainings of him with a short summary what happened and move to some major fights like battle the guardian to respective areas (i got this feeling he's going to fight some of it), Also, Mei is a good love interest since author can make him become a helper when they want to Overthrow the current Mizukage after obito took control 🤔🤔.. And with that he can have a backer since its unlikely to haave him a Ronin or mercenary forever.. sooo yeahh thats my opinion

Romance is good especially when hinata is on vacation, you can add some light chapters for it especially after some big arcs
