Wonderful story so far. The early chapters give enough explanation of the world that you aren't lost. Story pacing and character development are too notch. Higy recommend.
If his right glove has a built in wand, or as he just aaid "wands come in all shapes", why is he worried about casting a spell wandlessly? He literally has a wand on him.
And so, he focused, connecting to the web. With his glove on casting a spell wasn't much of a challenge, it was just that he wasn't sure which one to use. 'Icy Pike' doesn't have a wandless version he knew off so that handy spell wasn't one he could use at the moment.

Thanks for this book. So far it is one of the best I have read. It grabbed me fairly quickly and has been quite enjoyable.

Story starts off slowly, but it is well worth sticking with. Author does a great job building his world and characters. The consistency given to the story is exellant as well.
