Yeah and then there’s having your birth plan fly out the window when you get to the hospital thinking you have a UTI, but you’re 5 cm dilated and your baby’s feet are hanging out, and you just passed 24 weeks and 1 day gestation. My husband said he never saw a doctor turn white so fast when he touched my daughter’s feet, during the exam. I freaked out while remaining as still as possible. I was bundled up into an ambulance and sent to St. Justine Hospital from LaSalle. They sent a resident with me just in case I dropped her on the way there. I managed to hold out 3-4 days before birthing my daughter at 24 weeks and five days. I will always say the five days because it was hard holding out that long trying not to have her. We spent 5 months in the NICU with her being very sick most of the time. She nearly died three times. She’s 16 years old now. Healthy as horse and a tornado of energy. She’s autistic and has bronchopulmonary dysplasia, and that’s it.
"Solid plan," I replied, nodding my head again. "A lot of women feel that they are not in control when it comes to birthing, and that scares them. Between you and I, I think that doctors just ask women for their birth plans because it gives expecting mothers something to do. Birthing plans rarely work out perfectly."

We had a septic tank on the farm. Had to have it emptied once a year.

Instead of deja vu she’s experiencing jamais vu. Interesting concept there.
But maybe instead of it being déjà vu, maybe none of this ever happened. Maybe he caught me as soon as I left my bunker, and everything else has just been a dream. Were the guys even alive? Could I really trust any of this?
