She can’t really die either way lol. Not unless she goes against something far above her, as in FAR above her. He’s in the wheel, so it’s entirely possible for him to be chosen. But I’ll also note that the Doctor’s only truly helpful aspect (To Gwen) is his mind and the slight changes it’ll make to her physiology. Besides that? It doesn’t give her much to be honest. As there are genuine laws that the Doctors technology has to follow, so who’s to say it works in Young Justice? But trust me, even if she does get his intelligence and “powers” she is still kill able and can still struggle.
She would have preferred someone like Tony Stark, The Doctor, or Rick Sanchez, but this was good too. As she wouldn't complain about a boost in strength and some new powers.

The son of Yuujirou Hanma himself. Baki is a master at martial arts, and has knowledge of many different, and dangerous techniques. The most dangerous of them all, being the Demon Back/Face, due to it's ability to boost ALL of the users physical capabilities by many times, when activated it also boosts the users durability. Includes his knowledge on martial arts, be it techniques or otherwise, as well as the Hanma Bloodline, which may have an affect on the users physique.

I’m just going off what the wiki says lol. I think it’s also partially because of the had his ability poses, as in someone like Gwen’s hands, it is genuinely op as hell.
Jaune Arc, aka vomit boy. A huntsman in training at Beacon, Jaune was admitted by basically cheating his way in, not having had any sort of skills before he joined. He is rather strong physically, and a skilled leader. The most notable aspect of Jaune, was his monstrous amounts of Aura, and his semblance. He had the most aura in the series, and the Semblance: Aura Amp. This semblance allowed Jaune to amplify his own aura and others aura, effectively increasing the effects of aura. He can also use this to improve the healing effects of aura, and strengthen another persons semblance. It basically allowed him to directly improve the strength of ones soul. Includes all his helpful knowledge, as well as his aura and semblance.

Comics version? Cosmic as Thor in the comics is easily around Galaxy level and above. MCU? Substellar, aka Moon to Dwarf Star level. Comics Thors op AF. The guy is compared to Superman for a reason
Albus would be good because of his knowledge in magic, and impressive magical power. She already had a lot of magical power thanks to Nabu, but having Albus would make it even stronger.

Besides Gwen training the girls, and M'gann coming to a realization, Gwen had also continued her own training, this time, she had been focusing on Aura. Aura had been an absolute godsend to her, and she had continued to manipulate and train in it. She wanted to get good enough, to the point that she could make constructs out of her aura, similar to the green lanterns and their rings.
