Just, as a note before I start the story, I hate when authors tell the reader information that the character doesn’t know so you, the reader, will find things out as the character does, although they might forget things because while you might ready the story in a couple hours or days, for the character it might be months or even years. The main character is based off of a person that I know in real life, and I have known them for my whole life, so I should be able to show their character well. Also, I am aware that I have started 2 other stories, both have been abandoned because I… well to be honest I completely lost interest in their stories and couldn’t think of anything else to add. This story takes place in a world very similar to Earth in a medieval setting, but there are some differences to take note of, for example, there is magic in this world, and with magic came mutations to animals that lead to the existence of monsters. More will be explained later on in the story.

Have you ever felt like you should be alone, but you weren't? Have you ever seen the entities that are made of shadows, or perhaps even light, at the corner of your eye? Have you heard the skittering, scratching, scuttling sounds of creatures crawling nearer, just at the edge of your perception? Have you felt the SCRATCHING at the back of your mind, ripping, tearing at your sanity? Have you seen the pulsating, undulating, unintelligible form of those who exist above you? If so, you're not alone, hear my tale, and understand, the loneliness you feel is false.
