Oh come on Lea, give the poor guy a break! 😭
OMG, the spirit of Mila's son was the devil guy the whole time wasn't he?
Please tell me Lea had something to do with the special forces showing up with such perfect timing. It's great that Aunt Mila and Vivian are finally getting what's coming to them but it's extremely unsatisfying to think they beat Lea in the end.
Okay this has gone far enough. I've lost track of the number of crimes Aunt Mila has committed and now she's planning to sacrifice Lea? I know she's playing the long game with some master plan but surely attempted murder is enough for Lea to end things immediately, especially when she's the intended victim. She's an officer with the special forces for crying out loud! If this doesn't end with her slapping some cuffs on Aunt Mila...I don't know. I love this novel but if Lea lets this go...
Vivian and her whole family need serious, r/nuclear revenge levels of punishment.
This guy isn't nearly as smart as I thought he was. He recorded everything so he wouldn't fall into the trap and he still fell into the trap. I hope this gets sorted out quick, this kind of plotline is just frustrating.
Is there missing content on this chapter? I remember the last time you accidentally duplicated a bunch of paragraphs there were whole new paragraphs after it was fixed.
Heavenly retribution won't work on Aunt Mila and Vivian because their good deeds outweigh their bad? I call BS. If someone's impact on the world is merely a net positive that doesn't make them good or virtuous by any stretch of the imagination. The proper term for such people is "Two-faced" and they are definitely deserving of divine punishment.
I am deeply curious about the laws in this world when it comes to people with supernatural powers. So far the magic cops have only gotten involved in situations where people's lives are being threatened or lost but that can't be it can it? Aunt Mila hypnotizing Jun and erasing his memories should definitely be illegal. Yu Holea herself often uses her powers to harass villains like she's dealing out vigilante justice and while imagining Lea as a magical Batman sounds so freaking cool when I think of other people behaving this way I can't help but think some of the stuff she's done should be illegal too. And most importantly because it pertains to the plot, Yu Mei. Doesn't Lea have enough evidence of her crimes to put her away for life right now or at least start an investigation? Since Lea is one of the magic cops now if she catches Yu Mei drugging her drink with those demon pills can't she arrest her on the spot and end her career right then and there?
Again I really wonder about how super powers function in this society. Suppose the "famous" school for super power users was something like Hogwarts, only known among other power users and the existence of powers is a complete secret from the muggles. The number of institutions that were said to desire students from Jackson High School makes that a bit of a stretch but more importantly wasn't it made public that Lea was a celestial master among other things during Mei and her father's recent attempt to slander her? I could be wrong but I think I remember some other instances where the general public acknowledged the supernatural as well. A couple story arcs ago when she was working on that movie with Vivian and she told those three actresses she could divine their futures I remember being very confused as to why they treated her like she was crazy since it seemed like super powers were public knowledge.
