What makes you think he can't do so now? He was fighting equaly against a family head with just a clone, i think he can easily win even now at full power.
We haven't seen anyone be able to do anything about his teleportation since he travels through shinso itself which is everywhere, so maybe he can teleport directly to them ignoring the seal.

Since his senju clone is made from hashirama and his uchiha clone from madara, he should get the rinnegan right?
It's stupid that he didn't expect at least one clone to rebel, and with mask and sage mode it just doesn't make sense that the sneak attack worked.
