The brow and stern both had elevated platforms for archers, making these vessels far more capable in naval battles than mine.

Despite my heavy protection minimizing the need of it, I still took my kite shield and winged spear so I could fight in a shield wall without compromising the formation. For my secondary arms a flanged mace and a rondel dagger - the dagger hilt and pommel shaped for better leverage with armored hands.

The Valyrian steel metal had fascinated him as not only it was undamagalble it could also store magic. He was already determined to obtain two valyrian steel katanas at any cost. He had spent most of the time the past week training with his katanas refreshing his muscle memory.

dude. no. just no. european steel is not only made from better quality iron but also they had way better steelmaking techniques. katanas are only soso in terms of swords. Longswords vastly supersedes them in terms of versatility, elasticity, range, endurance (katanas break and bend easily) and depending on the model even in cutting power. whereever you read that was categoricaly wrong and i would never use that source again if i were you.
